I really enjoyed this restaurant. It takes the traditional spanish food to a higher level without being so expensive. The waiters are very polite and kind and the food is great. Everything we asked for was great but the Lomo de Orza was superb!

Traditional food is served with a modern presentation, and we were impressed. The food was delicate and delicious. The service is attentive and charming, and the setting is cozy and warm. Excellent value.

Food is excellent particularly the cod in broth but there was not a huge choice of main meals. I had the duck which was a little tough and on the cold side.Local Toledo red wine recommended was excellent and being able to eat out on the terrace on a warm evening was heaveny. Would return.

We stayed at the Pintor El Greco just a couple of blocks away from the Meson de la Orza. Our concierge recommended it to us. However, dinner does not get served before 9 pm, in Spanish style of late night dining. Once seated we enjoyed excellent food. I had the venison, which was prepared deliciously with a light apple seasoning... More

Visiting Toledo in August means that quite a number of restaurants were closed for the holidays so we were pleased to find Meson de la Orza open and selling delicious food - so good we ate here twice. In the middle of summer the outdoor terrace at 9pm was the perfect place to eat. There was a great choice, with... More

Expected more from a Michelin star restaurant but overall good value for money. One can sit outside which is rather rare in Toledo. Food was nicely presented. I would rather recommend the fish than the meat. Good deserts. Main course for 20 EUR in such a location is more than fair. Staff do not speak English but we had no... More

This restaurant was conveniently just round the corner from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted warmly, the food was great, and the bill not too steep.

PROS: (1) good, cheap wine; (2) lovely dish presentation; (3) relaxing atmosphere; (4) professional service; (5) complimentary liquor at the end of the meal; (6) good choices for seafood lovers. CONS: (1) SLOW service: we visited the restaurant at 10pm and it was full, so we didn't expect the service to be super-fast, but the time between us making our... More

Toledo isn't a great gastronomic spot but Meson de la Orza deserves a visit. Despite the price (paid 40 € / person) the food and the service is fantastic! Authors cuisine ...
