Introduced to this restaurant by some friends. It's traditional to have rabas on Sundays, but wanted a bit more today, so we sampled several items on the menu. The food was all first rate, some of the finest we've had in Santander. The rabas are some of the finest in Santander, with a HUGE portion. The merluza was fabulous as... More

We had dinner at LA Radio on consecutive nights during a visit to Santander. We enjoyed a wide variety of typical Spanish dishes, prepared for and enjoyed by mostly locals and a few tourists. Be warned the portions portions are generous, so be prepared to share. And be adventurous, you will not be disappointed.

Great dishes, massive flavors and portions. Good value great wines especially the albarinio. The rustic dishes such as the pig's ear tripe seafood etc are the real Spain on a plate.

I lived 2 streets down and would frequent this place. Great place for rabas and a glass of wine. Wonderful neighborhood bar.

Heard the fame of this place, went to sample a few dishes but ended up having only 1/2 racion (portion) of rabas. Fried squid was simply amazing and the portion was generous. Unfortunately we got there not long after our late breakfast and didn't have enough room for more.. However if we get to visit Santander again, will definitely return... More

La Radio is out of the typical touristic route. It's one of my favorite places in Santander. You can eat from cheap tapas to very good quality fish and seafood at very reasonable prices. If you enjoy fish, ask for the catch of the day. "Las Rabas" (the most popular dish in Santander, which is calamari) are one of the... More

I've been to La Radio a couple of times and I'll definetely come back again. The plates are pretty big. Rabas are mixed with fried onion rings and I really loved the octopus, which was called "pulpo con gallega" but it was grilled. We also had some fries with three sauces: alioli, brava and pink. Croquettes and salads are also... More

Taken there by locals that told us... this is not a fancy restaurant but you'll love the food! No errors made! Fresh fish that could be seen over the table if you ask to check, big portions, good value for it's price! Anxovees, calamari, diiferent local fishes and average desserts with the warm goat cheese on top of them!
