Very nice authentic restaurant serving the best of seafood in Santander. Booking a table is essential as the evening is very busy regardless of week day. Make sure you have web access or a dictionary before going as they don't have a menu in english or someone who speaks it. Also making it clear... read more

Ordered the seafood soup to start- terrible, no flavour , very little seafood- cod and two rubber shrimps in a tomato broth, my 10 year old child would have made better!! We had sea bream for main course which was cooked well but very over priced for what it was, there was nothing else served with it so we were... More

We had a wonderful dinner last night in the Casa Silvio. We arrived at 8:45pm last night and could get a table easily probably because it was cold and raining. I expected to use my google translation but it turned out that they have an English menu! The waitress was very helpful too though she could not speak English. With... More

It is very traditional Spanish in service and decor , surprise surprise they speak Spanish as well , only , so don't be put off and learn a few phrases and use translater on your phone app , they... Fabulous restaurant, friendly atmosphere, old school blue checked table cloths, great wine and fresh seafood. I had the prawns, so yummy, but all the other dishes at our table was good as well. You may need a Spanish speaking companion, but it is well worth a visit.

We were given directions to the seafood restaurants in the area and happened on a local that stated Casa Silvio was better and cheaper than many others. Fabulous fresh seafood cooked to order. The staff were wonderful and lots of fun when trying to navigate the menu in Spanish only. The suggestions made were simply delicious with the added atmosphere... More

Disappointing salad mixta: leaves, tinned tuna, tinned olives, tinned asparagus drowned in oil. Crab served with no condiments or finger bowl only a lemon wet wipe after! Husbands hake was correctly cooked if a little greasy. All very ordinary and poor value. Be warned.

A place to be they say, but for the prices they have you can eat much better in a lot of restaurants in Santander.

It is a place where you can mostly see and meet locals, but also the tourist that knows where to find the good seafood. The place is absolutely unpretentious, however the food is incredibly fresh and the service up to date. You might have to fight your way in because the bar and the small number of restaurant tables are... More
