Our apartment hosts advised us to" drop down the hill" - using the funicular- and enjoy this restaurant and we did! We loved the barrels with the "artistic" expression. It was sunday lunch but not full which meant we had expert attention and service. The vegetable combination was shared, but served as if meant for each of us and it... More

Visited this restaurant earlier and it was good. Tonight how different could it be. Salad arrived with Fag Ash on it. Replaced and we found a tissue with a pin in it - who knows what else!!! Still tried to bill us for our meal. Paid for drinks and left. Disappointing last night in Santander after a fantastic short break.

Several times. Excellent wine and food. A little bit expensive but with very high quality. I repeat ever I can.

I arrived with the family without booking at about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. We came upon the place without knowing of its existence and so with no preconceived ideas about it. The bar area is large, subtly lit and richly decorated with dark wooden beams and oak wine barrels lining the walls, the tops of which have been painted... More

First impression of this place was the fantastic ambiance: dark wood and artistry on what looked like barrel ends lining the walls contrasted with the moody lighting; the place was heaving and we were lucky to get a table. The food and wine lived up to the setting. Best was the artfully composed cheese platter of manchego, cabrales and other... More

I recently stayed with two friends in santander and went here. We arrived in and the place was packed which was a good sign. We had 3 courses and for our starters and mains we all had very different foods which were all delicious. the layout of the place was very authentic and the service good also. After fumbling with... This is a great place to visit for Pintxos and some wine. The location and atmosphere are great but time it right as it's a busy place, from 9:30pm onwards seemed to work well for us. The food is good although I did find some of the dishes a little greasy, it didn't spoil the overall experience though. Try to... More

I went there twice in a week with two different groups of friends. They all enjoyed everything we asked for. We had 'Pastel de cabracho' (scorpionfish cake) - delicious and really good for sharing.'Maganos encebollados' - depending on the day, they may not have them. 'Huevos con jamón y habas', 'Rissoto con setas' and desserts (all of them were great).... More

Called in for a quick bite during our Santander txikiteo (pincho bar crawl!). Great setting with all the old wooden casks and fittings. We only had brochettes de solomillo @ €3.50 each and a caña of beer cost €1.70. The food was two pieces of sirloin and two pieces of courgette on a skewer and was delicious.
