We stopped by accidentally when wondering through Santa Cruz and what an amazing surprise we had! We ordered various types of tapas, also main courses and every single choice was excellent! Starting with their local potatoes, finishing with chicken with curry and desert home made, every single course was cooked fantastic and presented very well. And we stopped there for... More

We have eaten in Tasca La Monteria a number of times as we have a flat in Santa Cruz. This time we were once again reminded of what makes this place so special. Amazing food, the most caring hosts (the owner/cook often also waits at your table) and overall great value for money. This time we started with the Ensalada... More

Walked around Santa Cruz looking for somewhere to have lunch and happened upon a small group of restaurants, we chose one at random, well what a fantastic choice! We decided to have the Menu del Dia and asked what choice we had. Our attentive waiter said any starter and main course from the lunchtime menu. We chose the recommended house... More

We planned to have a tapa lunch here last week after reading reviews and we weren't disappointed. We were delighted to find it was in a very quiet pedestrian side street but still in the heart of Santa Cruz. It's only a small place and has a few tables inside and five tables outside. It's run by a husband and... More

Small traditional restaurant located just off the the Ramblas. Menu in English. Good selection of seafood and traditional Canarian dishes. We had fisherman's soup, prawn and avocado omelette, roasted cheese which mojo sauce and squid. These were from the starter menu but the portions were huge. More than you get as a main course in many places. Dishes cost about... More

Small and unassuming place in an alleyway in Santa Cruz - food and the house wine was excellent! The desert was home made, very delicious. Great for a calm dinner for two or even with a group of friends!

We went to this little restaurant as it seemed the busiest amongst all the restaurants on this side street and we weren't disappointed. We sat on a table outside and had a variety of tapas with a glass of house red wine. All were very good, with a particular highlight being a baby leaf salad with cheese and pine nuts,... More

We were pottering through the old town of Santa Cruz, looking for a little light lunch. We alighted at this unassuming little restaurant in a side street, amongst plenty of other places we could have chosen. The waiter serving us was pleasant and patient. We ordered chips (patatas fritas) and a 'tosta'. Expecting a british toasty, what actually arrived blew... More
