We ordered a mixed paella having been told this would include chicken, shellfish and pieces of fresh fish. We had a mixed pepper, peas, squid, 6 langhoustine and mussels (half unopened)savoury rice...very disappointing. The chef apologised offering a free dessert which turned out to be a local sausage with 2 quails eggs!! To add insult to injury the waiter advised... More

The menu displayed outside and within the premises offered sole meuniere and tuna which was the principal reason for our visit. Neither were available. Cod was the only other fish listed on the menu - it was not available. We should have left. However, we chose other dishes, and they were acceptable- except for the 'flambeed bananas' - they weren't... More

This was our first visit to Tulipanes. Very friendly people. The quality of the main items - fresh sea bream and pork tenderloin - was excellent but the plate was crowded with too much vegetable, sauce, etc. and that detracted from the dining experience. Would be much better if sauce/gravy/vegetables, etc. were offered separately.

Went to this restaurant early evening on our last night in Peurto, and wished we had found it earlier. This was the best meal of our holiday. Great host and hostess, made us very welcome, able to advise on the menu, providence, wines, and got us spot on! Our meal consisted of lots of dishes, mostly starters, and one main... More

food was ok but we thought it a bit pretentious. service slow, some guys on a neighbouring table walked out as no one bothered to even greet them . some items on menu would said to be "unavailable", - not exotic choices. the final daftness was that they could not do flambeed bananas as they had the wrong sort of... We were greeted by the avuncular chef who took our order and then went and cooked the fish which was removed from the tank in front of our noses. Lovely lunching on the little terrace down a picturesque alleyway to dishes of perfectly cooked local fish followed by an interesting selection of Canarian Cheese; all washed down with easily the... Great food. Best sirlion with pepper sause I'd tastet ever. Top Service. They used fresh ingrediences and prepared food that wasnt on the meny just for us. For example one day the cook came with fresh cantarelles and asked if we'd want him to make us something with them. Words cannot describe how Great this place was. You got to... More

We had paella (mixta) at Los Tulipanes the other night, it tasted fine, but was to "watery" at the bottom of the pan. It was far from the best paella we've had, but ok... until we found out about the price: 22 EUR each - Yeah you heard right: 44 EUR for the pan the two of us had! Service... More
