The location of the restaurant is away from touristic restaurant area in the "down town". A German couple is running the restaurant and the success has to be based very much on the very attentive and kind customer service flavored with a good food. But the lady - one of the owners - is the one that makes you really... More

Can't fault the food, it was so good we went back the next night and I had the same again. The cheesecake is delicious as well, homemade, and light.

Visited again a few times in December and January. Always superb but we were there again on Christmas Eve and as usual, Gabi and Herman made it a very special and unique occasion. We recommended it to two discerning friends staying at the Botanico in February and they said it was one of the best meals they have ever had.... More

We were recommended by fellow guests staying at the Botanico Hotel. It is about a 5 min walk away. Small, intimate yet interesting. Very busy, reservation recommended. German couple. She is front of house and he is cooking. Limited menu but we don't mind that. Excellent food, well presented and good service. We went twice during our stay.

This place has a lot of followers especially from Hotel Botanical. The owners are a couple from Frankfurt and food is very good but service could be a slow and menu is very limited. However it is still a good eating experience and the lady there seems to give every kisses on leaving!

The restaurant "Tucan" is located on the slope between the downtown Puerto de la Cruz and the upper hotel/residential area. It has ambitions to be a fine-dining place and succeeds in much. The restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy, somehow a bit old-fashioned setting reflecs the clientele: higher middle-age and older, not many young customers. However, we were there with... More

This is an annual family tradition. Us, two kids now 10 and 14, and my in-laws (in the 70ies). All enjoy, and have always enjoyed, this restaurant and the food. We just keep coming back. Hint: make reservation

I really liked this slightly eccentric restaurant. It was like being in the parlour of a pair of elderly couple – all flounces, ornate lighting – it is altogether cosy and charming. The food is jolly good, and the puddings are to die for. Try the pear Helene. The wine list is a little hit-and-miss – luckily we had a... More
