Tapas lunch with a view

4 of us visied for the Tapas tasting lunch. Excellent value at 15 euros per head including a drink. Beautifully presented. The waiting staff were attentive and willing to slighhtly adjust the food choices for my non-meat eating friend. Of course, the panoramic views over Arrecife harbour add to a... read more

We visited the restaurant for lunch, having been recommended by a family member. We weren't disappointed. It is. Lovely restaurant with panoramic views of the harbour fromwall to ceiling windows. The taster menu at 15 euros including a glass of wine was excellent and the staff who were most polite and helpful were most willing to change the menu to suit... More

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and good food and Lanzarote wines. Unfortunately we felt cheated by the way they offer they sample menu. They list five little dishes in the menu at the price of 15 euros WITHOUT mentioning that the price is for two and those five dishes also for two TO SHARE !!! It's as if you... More

Have driven past the Castillo many times and never thought about eaten at the restaurant, then a friend had said he had eaten there a year or two ago and had a nice meal, he asked whether we fancied going back with them, of course always willing to try somewhere new. Of course had a quick look on line, from... More

To get to this bar, you need to drive north from Arecife on the road alongside the coast. You rapidly get into a very run-down, industrial area, but keep driving, the Castillo San Jose is just a little further. It's a typical Lanzarotean castle, i.e. a small square fort. There's plenty of room to park outside and the main part... More

Wow this restaurant is a hidden secret. Tourists would not normally find this easily. Set on the coast of Arrecife and overlooking the port, where regular cruise ship dock for a stopover whilst cruising the Canaries. The food was superb and well priced for what it was. The staff were helpul but maybe a little slow. Having said that, this... More

I ate here recently with some friends to celebrate my birthday. This is a charming restaurant located under the Castilo with a glass fronted view over Arreciffe Harbour. Attentive Spanish waiters who were very professional. All 6 of us had the 7 course Tapas priced at €15 per head including a glass of Wine. None of us could fault the... More

Don't overlook this faded Charles Eames style '70s restaurant tucked away under the museum in Castillo de San Jose, as the spiraling stairs leads you to a huge place with a great view over the industrial harbour, which somehow is a great match. The food is surprisingly good. There is a huge menu, which we put away as there is... More

If you are visiting the island of Lanzarote do ensure you search out the castle with its art collection (although we didn't have time to view this) underneath the Castle is a restaurant with interesting views of the container port and entrance to the cruise ship berths and yachting mariner entrance. Sound's awful but most fascinating. Combine this with a... More

Have always loved this restaurant - mainly due to the views and Manrique-inspired design. I've eaten here several times, most recently in October 2014 and I've never been disappointed. The food is more upmarket than other restaurants I've visited in Lanzarote, but not with upmarket prices. The menu is not extensive - but what is on the menu is done... More
