The dish I ordered was not properly cooked. Squid ink pasta with seafood but the mussels and clams were all closed. Not only does this mean that you can't eat them but that they are unfit to eat, dead when cooked or just not cooked....I sent it back to ask for it to be cooked some more but the chef simply threw in some more cold mussels...some open, some closed but cold, from the fridge! My partner's fish of the day was good but my dish was poor, if not dangerous to eat. Service was not great either...you have to ask for everything...hate that...More

The food is nice and they make really good gambas ajo and our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. So good food but not blown away.

Great food, great service, great location. I strongly recommend the black squid risotto and the cheese cake made of goat cheese!

We had to pre pay the food, wich we though was a good sign. But there was only a few people there and the food was very dissapointing. The courses was very simple, and i regretted that i spend so much money there. We are...not pickey when it comes to food, but we both needed a burger afterwards. Will not recommend!More

We really enjoyed the slightly different dishes this restaurant serves, kind of a modern version compared to other menus. Great food, super and kind service and the little corner offers a lovely view of the beach and peer.

We had the mythical papas (baked potatoes in the Canary way), fish and black rice with squids. Lovely. About the waitress: muy wife cant eat cheese (sad fact for me, a cheese lover) and she went to the place next door ti find some "clean"...mojo (theirs is with a delicious cheese), great! The location alone deserves a visit.More

We are usually wary of restaurants along promenades in what if obviously a touristy area. However the menus looked enticing and we we were not disappointed! My wife had a tuna loin and she said it was the nicest tuna she as ever had. Good...perfectly at medium rare. I had octopus which was also excellent. Overall any excellent meal and a great place to sit, relax, and watch the world go byMore

This is probably the best food along the Beach. Excellent paella, panatellas etc. Not cheap, but great place in an Ocean of tourist traps all along the coast

Lovely modern tapas in a relaxed setting by the beach . The ceviche made from mero (grouper) with mango is zingy and wonderful, but so was everything else we tried. Lots of local seafood options and friendly staff

Not just a 1990's dance phenomenon, but also a superb restaurant at the La Puntilla end of Playa de Las Canteras. Delightful waterfront location. Family run with great food and smiling service.Great tapas.Over two visits we had beef with mushroom, aubergine tempura in honey (highly...recommended), croquettes, meat balls, calamari. All freshly cooked and slightly superior to the also excellent offerings nearby. Inexpensive. Our favourite restaurant in Las Palmas.More

An average size bowl but only 6€ Ceasar salad good and large 9€ I had the best...king prawns Thai style with Jasmin rice 12€ beautiful! Two potion of chips . These did get forgotten about :-( Complimentary bread baguettes Waitress service polite and fairly good English translation. No mayonnaise ;-( Wine beer and soft drinks..... Had an evening meal here and although not bad, I wasn’t overly impressed. We started with calamari to share which was really nice if a little overpriced compared with other restaurants. I had Iberian pork with fries which again was nice enough but it was...literally just a bit of pork with some fries and for €16 I was expecting a little more. My wife did enjoy the Salmon she ordered though and both of us enjoyed the cheesecake we shared.More

We'd walked past this restaurant so many times but had never dined there. I have to confess that the establishment where we had intended to eat was not open so La Macarena was not our first choice. But I'm so glad that happened because it...has now become one of my favourite places around Las Canteras. We sat outside and people-watched while we drank an excellent local white wine and perused the menu. The service was very friendly and attentive and we chose the squid and prawn black risotto.... wow! It was the best version of this popular dish I've tasted. I have to admit that we returned three more times during the remainder of our holiday, and although we were tempted by the other lovely-sounding dishes available, we always ordered that beautiful risotto. Next time we're back on the island (December), we'll definitely be back!More
