A fine evening

My partner was visiting the island, so I recommended Te lo dije when we were in Las Palmas. I had visited it so often and had been so enthusiastic that I was afraid he might be disappointed. Not a bit of it! He had a cava followed by a white wine; I had a white and then a red. I... read more

If you like beer, they offer an extensive array. Delicious menu with everything from carpaccios to samosas, Moroccan pastilla to croquetas and Iberian ham. Great service.

A picturesque setting, lively atmosphere and proud collection of beers all over the world. A place to pop in for tapas. Good service.

We visited La Vegueta and our family of 4 happened upon this little bar/restaurant. It's very small, but has a cozy feel inside. The server introduced us to tapas and the local Canarian cuisine. We trusted his suggestions and had the best meal so far during our stay in Gran Canaria. We had ropa viejo - our unianimous favorite, fried... More

Little bar with so many different kinds of beer from all over the world as well as local canaria products. Food is very delicious as well. Recommend dishes: Ropa Vieja, fired eggplants with honey, Moroccan style chicken stuffed with many different things that I can't remember. :D

We know this place well from our visits on Thursday evenings when this bar/restaurant and every other in this part of Vegueta - as well as the pavements outside them - are bustling with the crowds who come for 'Pintxo Night' when 2 euros gets you a drink and one of the varied and tasty snacks that are set out... Sitting here for the 2nd time in two days says it all really. Great little bar with as wide a selection of world beers I've seen in a long time. The staff are attentive when you want them to be but leave you alone when you don't. Tapas is reasonably priced and great quality. Highly recommended

I eat here a lot when visiting Las Palmas. This time it was again enjoyable but a little disappointing. Service was prompt and courteous as usual, a nice neighbourhood bar ambiance; very pleasant. I had forgotten that their tapas are really raciones and that previously I had had half portions. This time my carpaccio de calabazin was a full portion... More

One of the highlights of our trip to Las Palmas. This place has a huge selection of beers from all over Europe and provides a great selection of good Spanish food. The atmosphere is great and the staff are attentive and pleasant. It being situated close to the cathedral and the old town is a bonus. Will be returning whenever... More

Since writing my last review of Te lo dije, I've been there on two further occasions. The standard is still high and service is warm and welcoming, the ambiance relaxed and happy. I enjoyed some old favourites from the menu and found a brilliant new one in Carpaccio de calabazin with palm tree honey and ginger. Fabulous! I've started doing... More
