I doubt that more of our meal was fresh. Rest from cans or frozen. Only salad on my dish fresh (for example aspargus definitely from can) and my wifes avocado. Main course vegetable soup fro my wife definitely tasteless and veggies looked either frosen or be sitting in this bowl for a long time. My main possibly just wrong choise.... More

Service was helpful and welcoming - not too familiar, just right. Menu sufficiently diverse with food presented attractively. Langoustines were particularly tasty. Drink measures were liberal. Lots of competition in this area but it was always busy with what looked to be a fairly discriminating clientèle. Steps down into main restaurant could be a challenge to the disabled but plenty... Good service. Nice food (especially the steak tartare). They make a mean Irish coffee. Seats on both sides of the promenade. Good for people-watching. Open until very late.

I have visited this restaurant many times over several decades and have consistently had great meals here. This has a few Canarian dishes but it has more traditional meals that foreigners enjoy. Their steaks are great, especially the Pepper Steak and the beef fondue. Their raspberry flambé is amazing. I also recently had a wonderful fish dish and their salads... More

After reading the reviews and realising that this restaurant was right on our doorstep, we were really looking forward to a great meal/experience. Everything looked promising as we were seated inside the cosy dining area, there seemed to be a nice atmosphere. We had a jug of sangria which was well made with plenty of alcohol. My fiancé ordered a... More

We went on our first and last night there, based on TA advice, and both visits very satisfactory. Had to wait for a table for a few minutes, but that could easily be filled with counting the hundreds of pig ornaments around the place. The waiters zipping around ( only about 4-5 of them for the whole place) and work... More

Found this superb restaurant, ate sole and decided to come again. After two days tasted another fish, and it was tasty also. Came even third time last evening in Las Palmas, and ate wonderful fisf tacos + chifs salad. Friendly place, cheap prices, good service - and often totally full. Come early enough to get a table!

Restuaurant is situated at Canteras promenade. It looks like one more tourist trap. Not that bad, is my conclusion. Vegetables were well prepared, but the meat was as feared, not better. The staff was friendly. The environment downstairs was calm. A safe place, for budget dining.

I first eat here 18 years ago, returned 3 years ago, and last week. On each occasion everyone enjoyed their food. The fish and the steaks are always good. They are always busy and you can see why. The decor is old fashioned and quirky but the service and food are excellent .
