Great food at good price!

One evening, it was pouring down, and the street was slightly flooded. We entered - we were the only customers - and did enjoy some really good food: for my daughter, an unforgettable "medregal à la plancha" - chosen raw among a selection of fish, and recommended by Judith - with "papas arugadas... read more

We we're here in january with our 2 boys while exploring San Sebastian. As we always do we order 5/6 different tapas and fill up the table. The Goat was the best i have ever tasted, great paella and all other local specialities. Love the fact that it is like an extension of the family living room and that all... More

We visited having been recommended by friends. The famous friendly service mentioned in most of the reviews was certainly not in evidence and the service could have been described as indifferent at best. It was a Sunday evening and perhaps the regular crew had a day off or perhaps they were just worn out. We were the only customers so... More

We went to that restaurant many times during our stay because we were seduced by the family and in particular by Judith! She owns the restaurant but the whole family lives there and they cook basic but good food! It's authentic and thus priceless. They are very friendly and once you' be gone you want to go back! Don't hesitate.

A family run restaurant specialising in the local cuisine. Good food served by the lovely Judy (the maitre d') who also speaks quite good English which can be helpful when deciphering the menu and asking advice.

This unpretentious cafe is on one of the main streets in town. We called in for dinner one evening and were given a warm welcome from the mother and daughter. They recommended the fresh fish and we were able to share two types - bonito and amberjack, delicious. Their home-made mojo sauces were probably the best we tasted on the... More

Where do I start whether you go for lunch, cakes, dinner or just drinks you'll be surprised!! We had lunch, we split the menu since there's a normal menu and tapas so much we had a bit from both....slightly greedy but really good!!! We had calamari, prawns and goat which was all amazing but there were things on all the... More

We chose two very nicely cooked plates of fish from the daily specials - one of Tuna, the other Amberjack. The Canarian potatoes were just the right level of salty, and were delicious with the red Mojo sauce. The service was friendly and portions plentiful. An excellent introduction to Gomero food. We sat outside, so can't speak for the interior... More

We had first come across the Brenusca in May 2011. Just up the Calle Real from the Columbus Museum, it provides Gomeran family fare at sensible prices. The welcome from the proprietor and his daughters is warm and, as commented elsewhere, Mama makes the cakes. Best to consult the daily 'specials' board as this, essentially, is what is available on... More

We first found this cafe in 2012 and had a fantastic home made cake and great coffee there. In May 2014 we returned and the great quality and value for money had not changed. A really good cafe with friendly staff, what more could we want?
