A family run restaurant specialising in the local cuisine. Good food served by the lovely Judy (the maitre d') who also speaks quite good English which can be helpful when deciphering the menu and asking advice.

This unpretentious cafe is on one of the main streets in town. We called in for dinner one evening and were given a warm welcome from the mother and daughter. They recommended the fresh fish and we were able to share two types - bonito and amberjack, delicious. Their home-made mojo sauces were probably the best we tasted on the... More

Where do I start whether you go for lunch, cakes, dinner or just drinks you'll be surprised!! We had lunch, we split the menu since there's a normal menu and tapas so much we had a bit from both....slightly greedy but really good!!! We had calamari, prawns and goat which was all amazing but there were things on all the... More

We chose two very nicely cooked plates of fish from the daily specials - one of Tuna, the other Amberjack. The Canarian potatoes were just the right level of salty, and were delicious with the red Mojo sauce. The service was friendly and portions plentiful. An excellent introduction to Gomero food. We sat outside, so can't speak for the interior... More

We had first come across the Brenusca in May 2011. Just up the Calle Real from the Columbus Museum, it provides Gomeran family fare at sensible prices. The welcome from the proprietor and his daughters is warm and, as commented elsewhere, Mama makes the cakes. Best to consult the daily 'specials' board as this, essentially, is what is available on... More

We first found this cafe in 2012 and had a fantastic home made cake and great coffee there. In May 2014 we returned and the great quality and value for money had not changed. A really good cafe with friendly staff, what more could we want?

This was probably our favouite eating and drinking place in La Gomera. We went there on our first night, rather late and they were getting ready to close up but we were treated so nicely and served a wonderful freshly cooked meal. We ate on sveral other occasions and were greated like friends and again the food was superb, the... More

Advertised as the oldest San Sebastian place, offering really home-made Gomerian food was a little disappointmet or perhaps we were not lucky choosing gambas and carne di cabra. Both were ok though either a little too oily or too spicy but we expected more, judging by the enthusiastic reviews in some guidebooks. Current Trip Advisor (3+) average is much closer... More
