Very simple looking place and I only went in as they had watercrest soup on the menu. Whitout luck, there wasn't any left that day so I took the Canary soup, very good. Then I took the lamb chops 5 were served. The chops were too cooked even if i'd made a point of saying medium, "pink inside please". The boss... More

This little restaurant is run by Mario and his wife. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fantastic. Mario is an excellent host and will make suggestions to help you choose your food. If he says it's good it will be. We had the fish soup, garlic mushrooms and chickpeas to start. My vegetarian wife picked past the meat... More

You probably won't just walking into this little establishment... The service is b St described as cute, the decor is really interesting almost Swiss chalet but not. The food perfectly cook but when it comes to charging the price seems to be different to that on the menu. I don't think there's a wine list....we didn't get one. Nothing wrong... More

We stayed in La Gomera for five nights in an apartment and never cooked dinner - the choice of small local restaurants is too tempting. We found El Nilo by walking up Calle Ruiz de Padron - there was a nice looking restaurant nearby, but Mr El Nilo was standing outside and enticed us in. Not a hard sell at... More

San Sebastian de La Gomera is a charming little town, where the centre spreads around the main square (just beside the marina), where most of bars and restaurants are located. Sometimes it’s just too easy to stop there instead of venturing into one of the side alleys, but if you are curious enough to do this (like us), then you’ll... More

This is run by a husband front of house and a wife in the kitchen, the food is at best average but the service when it gets busy is dreadfull. There was a group of 8 Germans in on the day we visited and a number of couples, he just couldn't cope, food was almost chucked at you, there was... More

This was the best dish I have tasted in some time - since a meal in a Michelin starred London restaurant - and it came a close second. Also the insalata mista was large and varied. Friendly atmosphere as other contributors have stated, Excellent house red, somewhat less good house white - for my taste anyway.
