Delicious meal, welcoming hosts, came back a second time

Visited twice during our 2 week holiday. Had set meal the first time, but just main courses the second time. Both times the food was good. The German hostess remembered us the second time, which made us feel welcome, and overall we found the service to be good. They were friendly without being... read more

Everything about this restaurant says quality, except for the prices.Having said that, it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for in terms of setting, service and food. Either eat outside in one of the small terrace areas or inside, which is a magnificent room. The whole place is beautifully finished in the old style, and the toilets are worth a... More

Our favourite meal during our week on the island. We decided to have a leisurely lunch and stopped by here based on a "insider tip". We were given a seat on the small terrace which allowed us to watch the town and appreciate the views along the valley. We chose to spoil ourselves with 3 courses. We shared our starter... More

Betancuria is a beautiful little town with a lot of character and well-preserved old building from the days when this was the capital of Fuerteventura. Casa Santa Maria is located in one of these historical houses which has been restored with great care and taste. The food was a bit more expensive than in other restaurants we visited during our... Very nice restaurant next to the church. Recommended on a Dutch blog. We just had some starters. They're recommended in the Michelin book too. The only downside was (the reason they don't get the 5-stars), in the small 'patio' it smelled of sewerage, where we were sitting. Besides that, great food and friendly service! Recommended!

We stopped here on a 25 minute break during a tour of Fuertaventura, which meant 80 tourists with wallets were looking for refreshment. Our guide pointed us to the Casa Santa Maria but, on asking for 2 soft drinks, the waitress/manager/owner/whatever just pulled a face and very ungraciously pointed to a table. Being concerned that we were very much on... More

Saw this place on trip advisor and booked before went on holiday. Quite a drive to get there along twisty mountain roads especially as raining day we went. Defintely worth it though. The whole place has a lovely, grand, olde world feel and the food was exceptional. I would also like to say how friendly and helpful all the staff weew... More

Besides a restaurant the Casa Santa also has a low key coffee shop/cafe with fantastic views. You either access it from the corner of the street as you come from the large parking area or on exiting the excellently restored Casa house museum. The food here from my experiance does outstanding locally sourced tasty dishes of food. I had the... More

This was a nice little cafe in the main high street. It is a little tucked away and has a few steep steps up to it (so not sure about wheelchair access). Food and drinks are reasonably priced.
