Dined here on June 8, 2013 having read TA rave reviews. Started off by not being shown to a table, just a vague signal from a less than competent waitress. Then was on the point of walking out having sat 10 minutes without menus. Food was OK but nothing startling. Maybe we went on a bad night but El Horno... More

El Horno is in a cellar so it is nice and cool. The steak was good and served with a generous portion of fried potatoes. The service was friendly but not imposing. Prices were reasonable.

Hidden in a back street, the dining area is in a cellar with just one high up window at street level - fans struggled to keep temperature down. Interesting menu including a rabbit dish. A la carte only. Service efficient but slightly brusque.

Good, friendly service. Nice ambience. My spouse and I visited for dinner. We had sangria, garlic bread, wild boar, scampi in white sauce, cheesecake and Irish coffee, all were delicious. Highly recommended.

Had dinner here yesterday. This Michelin listed restaurant is set in an atmospheric vaulted cellar & specializes in traditional Menorcan food & seafood. Their fish of the day is usually presented at the table prior to cooking so you can see it's freshness for yourself. Great food & service...

We found this restaurant by accident when visiting Ciudadella on the 20th September and how pleased we were to give it a try. We were the only diners at 7pm but were soon joined by others, two of which were regulars at this establishment. The atmosphere is gentle unhurried and very relaxing and we were given complimentary lemonade whilst we... More

We stumbled across this back street restaurant last year and some diners came out exclaiming how great it was, so we vowed to go this year. We love basement restaurants. This was light and welcoming. Attentive staff. Great choice of menu. Tired of 'Menu Tourista' at the Marina, it was good to see different choices. We had prawns sizzling in... More

It would be easy to miss this basement restaurant down a narrow side street. We were the first diners in just after 7pm so had the place to ourselves. Despite dining alone we both found the atmosphere of the restaurant welcoming and relaxing. The waitress was attentive and efficient. The food was delicious, my husband would highly recommend the 'rabbit',... More

Recently went to Menorca and ate at El Horno twice and both times the food was great. Had a sumptous fillet steak in a red wine sauce cooked to perfection. The service was very good and helpful too.
