Great education

Please just walk around for a few minutes before you buy anything. So many options for great fruits, meats, and more. Gets some ballota ham and a soft baguette. The prices are very reasonable.

What a wonderful place to visit! Typically used by the locals Can Jaume is a hidden treasure for tourists travelling to Palma who want to taste authentic Mallorcan Tapas. Situated in the meat market , the bar is bright, clean, modern and offers a mix of Tapas and bocadillos The owner is also a butcher and you can buy some... More

The market is great no doubt about it although overpriced and a certain class of locals shop here. Some fish and fruit+veg stalls are mid priced others are too pricey but there is a great buzz. Bar del peix offers the best selection and 4 beers with 6 plates will cost €30 approx. first try to grab a stool or... More

We love checking out the local markets and this brought us to this spot where it was absolutley packed, and always a good sign,, besides we were starving seeing all these fresh seafood coming out. Service was quick and very genuine, no fuss, just good old service. love it!

Very vibrant and attractive market. Highly recommend trying to get a bar stool at the Bar de Peix - or whatever its called - just inside the entrance door on the west side of the market. Good price; zingingly fresh fish; slightly indifferent service - at the functional end of service, but that's the deal really - good place to... More

This market is a great place to people watch. We were there on a Friday when there were crowds buying fish for dinner. We sat in the Sushi King restaurant and had a great view of the hustle and bustle over excellent sushi and a couple of glasses of wine. Well worth visiting when in Palma

After a renovation of the market hall Olivar a few years ago, you will find everything for food and beverage. Fresh fish, meat, fruits etc. with a huge variety. Also some small restaurants and bars for bits and bites. A must when you are in Palma.

Thoroughly recommend visiting this market. Just to see the vast array of food stuff for sale is worth it. We rolled up about 11.30 am for a late breakfast of Oysters and Champagne. Absolutely wonderful. We then perused the rest of the market and just enjoyed the total experience and charm of the place.

What can I say about this market. Its a fun place to just walk round until something catches your eye on one of the stalls, some meat to take home for dinner, some fish for the BBQ........ some cheese for later. I particularly love the variety of food stalls. If I cant think what restaurant to go to, I often... More
