Sa Volta and La Cueva were two adjoining Tapas bars owned and run by the Nieto brothers. (I think their parents established them.) Sa Volta was TINY but they have now connected the two bars and they are packed out every night. The food is incredible. The service is excellent.

We look forward to tapas at La Cueva every time we go to Mallorca. The portions are large and freshly cooked. The service is always good and the surroundings feel authentic. I can't wait to visit again.

These were by far the best and freshest tapas we had in Mallorca. We took calamari in ink with rice, meat balls in tomatoe sauce and tuna with olives, tomatoes and olive oil. It was delicious. Super nice waiters and waitresses. They were lovely to our little one. Too bad we discovered this place last day in Mallorca.

A few years since we visited La Cueva but very glad we took the opportunity to go again for an excellent tapas lunch. We had four dishes which was more than enough for two and the house tinto, Faustino Crianza 2011. The portions are generous so don't over order initially, staff more than happy to bring more so take your... More

There are so many restaurants in Palma, especially if you are looking for tapas ... and you are looking for tapas, aren't you ? that you will be in trouble choosing the right one. This is one you can try with closed eyes. There will be quite a crowd, so book in advance or sit at the bar (if there... More

When you find yourself wandering the streets of Mallorca and you can't decide where to eat ... find your way to La Cueva and you will find yourself feeling like a local. Bustling little place that packs them in for their food, wine and overall feeling of "HERE". I had the rabbit plate with a bottle of Rioja (2010 Pamol)... More

best if you go in group so you don't feel like you waste food. Because everything is good and like a buffet, you want to try it all but very little of each because all is good fresh and delivered to your table in the speed of sound. Good luck,, the sangria pitcher did not hurt.

We haven't been able to get back to Palma for a few years because of a health problem but our first stop within an hour of landing from our evening flight was to Sa Volta/Sa Cueva. The greeting we received was so warm and so friendly we felt as though we had never been away. I simply had to order... More

We were a group of 19 for lunch. The staff were very friendly, very informative about each of the tapas dishes and everything tasted really good. Other reviewers thought they were expensive but I think the pricing was about right for food of this quality.
