Sa Volta and La Cueva were two adjoining Tapas bars owned and run by the Nieto brothers. (I think their parents established them.) Sa Volta was TINY but they have now connected the two bars and they are packed out every night. The food is incredible. The service is excellent.

Tasty Tapas

The go to tapas spot in Palma. Food is brought quickly and is very tasty. Service is attentive and the atmosphere is vibey. Don't go here if you are looking for quiet. Go here if you want to be part of the bustle that is Parma in season. Tapas at its best!

Went for dinner and ordered tapas. It didn't take long to serve us . No wonder, behind the service area were three men pretending to be chefs and at least three microwaves. All what they had to do is to get the old leftover tapas and PING it in the microwaves. The results were as you would expect. Yucky crap.... More

This place is always crowded and very loud, especially the area on the left. However, the food is delicious!!! It is served very fast. Frit mallorqui is a must try if you like seafood! I would definitely come back there again.

It's a great Tapas Bar - always crowded - even when other restaurants are empty. The food is authentic, the service is attentive and quick - and the flair of this stone cellar ist just great. Thumbs up - please continue like this. Always a pleasure. The signature dishes are "Gambas al Ajillo" and "Pimientos de Padron" - both are... More

this is our "go-to" tapas place. we have been going there for over 20 years. quite expensive these days, but always worthwhile. try to book if you are going in "tourist" season or have a large party. go in beforehand & ask for a table in one of the rooms in the back. during tourist season, these guys will be... As a visitor initially and for several years now as locals.... this great tapas bar NEVER fails to be anything but very good...... This family business means the same friendly staff (the women by day & men by night!) and great tapas / service. Prices are really good value and a great atmosphere. Even though it is in the heart... Love the people, the food and the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and enjoy watching you laugh and joke with others you have only just met because you have been sat close together. Whether this is by design or the want to pack as many people in as possible it makes for an interesting evening. Enjoy a few plates of... More

We had dinner in this restaurant the first evening, without a car, we didn't want to be too much adventurous. It was full and the atmosphere seemed nice so we gave it a try. Portions were not big, we ordered some tapas: the prawns with garlic, the octopus, the pepper, other fish and the grilled squid. Everything was really tasty,... More

A restaurant in an old cellar in downtown Palma, traditional tapas go average quality. The lighting in the restaurant partly destroyed the atmosphere. A softer ambient light would have created a much nicer impression. We ordered garlic mushrooms, croquettes and chorizo. The garlic mushrooms were tasteless and can not be recommended. Price level ok.
