Nice little restaurant very well located in the center if old Palma. The service is efficient and professional. For sure one of the best tapas in town. Great affordable wine list. Now...great Tapas, the ambiance, affordable wine, simple efficient service: Welcome to Palma! Oh, and if they are no room they have a sister restaurant very close to it!

High ceiling and lots of period detail with added local colour. Busy all the time, get in early to get in the big main room. An offshot cellar room at the rear is the alternative (we wouldnt have wanted that) cosy but less atmospheric. Food is big on taste, fresh and typical of local menus. we had Variado Marinaro..4 sorts... More

I've been there in January and I've been lucky to find the restaurant not too crowded (I've heard that in other months it's easy to have to eat on the barrel). I've tried the tipical jamón, pan tomate and grilled mushroom with ham and they were good! Also the house red wine was good. Friendly service

My wife and I visited La Bóveda In November during the low season. The place was not particularly busy. The wait person was friendly and attentive. He humored us with our amateurish spanish but appreciated that we tried. He made recommendations on tapas and wine. Some of the dishes we ordered, like gambas al ajillo, was not special. Others like... More

I have eaten at La Boveda before and normally try to go back on a visit to Palma as the atmosphere can be amazing as its always full to the rafters. This time was the last time as the booking system, which was always poor, has got worse and the place was full of angry people queing up and not... More

We read the mixed reviews & were a bit wary but thought we'd give the place a try anyway hoping to be one of the lucky ones. Unfortunately not. Yes it was busy and we don't normally mind waiting but being busy doesn't justify the rudeness of the staff. We'd booked a table but it wasn't reserved for us, the... More

This restaurant was recommended in a newspaper article and was busy. We got a table in an area off the main dining area which had 6 tables for people who hadn't reserved. But had a depressing atmosphere. We got a mixed tapas starter which was alright but had better in Scotland. Eventually had to opt for beef as a main... More

La Bodeva was recommended by some locals and we turned up without a reservation for lunch It was not crowded, we were seated immediately and drinks arrived while we decided our meal. We chose the squid and steamed mussels as well as the mixed salad. The squid was superb, as was the large dish of mussels in tomato broth .... More

We came when the doors opened at 2000, and got seated by the bar by a stressed and grumpy waiter. After 30 min all the other guest had got their first serving. We hadn't even managed to get in contact with the waiters! After another 10 min we just left. We have never been disapointed, when dining in Palma, but... More
