Busy Tapas restaurant

Always a busy venue. Must reserve especially in high season. Good food and nice atmosphere. Service is quick and friendly. Located in the heart of La Lonja restaurant district. There is a bar area but people normally go straight to their table. Food is fresh and never disappointing. They also have another tapas restaurant just around the corner which is... More

Superb food and atmosphere! Although I like the other La Boveda (taverna) a little bit more - its located just 100 meters from here. Great service and the best of tapas.

Always great to visit La Boveda in the center of Palma, we are never disappointed with the food & service and have been going there for many years. It is always very busy and best to book a table. The food is always extra fresh and lots to choose from on the menu. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to... More

Not having booked, was seated at the bar as the place started filling up at around 9pm. A beer, padron peppers and a very good entrecote washed down with a Pago de Carraovejas crianza were all great. Been coming here for some years and, as has been mentioned by other reviewers, it's good to see familiar faces behind the bar... More

If you really like the mallorcain food, La Boveda is the right place. You get the best pata negra from spain and all the spanish tapas at an affordable price. The pleasure to see your patra negra cut by the same person since 15 years with the same smile is just a pleasure. The sortiment of spanish wine is as... More

Fantastic food and service - some of the best tapas I've ever eaten! You must book though if you want a proper table - it's a seat at the bar or a barrel if you don't book. The guy who served us was very friendly and had some good recommendations to help us chose from the menu! The dates in... More

This tapas restaurant was highly rated in Top 10 guides etc. I, Husband and two daughters had a tapas lunch there, just over a week ago. The place lacks atmosphere, the choice of food for Spanish tapas was poor, no boquerones, very small portions and overpriced. OH and I got house white wine served in what my daughters likened to... We arrived as soon as it opened for lunch and within minutes it was almost full. Portions are more of a 'racion' than a 'tapa', hence they may seem more expensive but you would only need at most a couple each to fill you for a lunchtime meal. I agree with one of the previous reviewers, the white bean stew... More

Not sure how this restaurant got the many five star reviews. We went a second time as our friend, a local, swears to the place. Service was good and efficient, but the food was average at best. Not very tasty and quite expensive. Would not go again, there are much better places in the neighbourhood.
