Based on other reviews we decided to eat here. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table (there is very good bar round the corner) so it might be worth booking. Three of us shared a selection of 7 tapas with an OK Rioja Crianza. The food was well prepared and served at a leisurely pace so we could... More

My sister in law and I found this restaurant while looking for an authentic eating place which was not catering to the tourist. While roaming the back streets we found this one on San Alonso and got a good feeling. We were not disappointed. It is an unpretentious tapas bar with a large menu. See their website - tavernacaracol.com. The... More

It may not have the youngest clientele or be a typical destination for a party table but this place serves much more authentic tapas than most places in the old city and does it without being a tourist trap....a slighty harder location to find than many but worth it!

It's a perfect place to stop for a lunch or a dinner when you make a walk an old town of Palma. The food is tasty and authentic. All products are fresh and good quality and come from the market. That's not the "typical" place for tourists where you eat cheap but bad. That's the place to enjoy the meal... More

Our group managed to get the last table, and they were full quite early in the evening (always a good sign!) The service was excellent and we ordered a variety of tapas. We wanted to order two portions of mussels, but he told us that the portion was big & luckily we listened as the portions were substantial. I loved... More

The service was good and the tapas was some of the best I've ever had. I would really recommend the Jabugo's ham - the ham is a bit expensive, but worth the money. The atmosphere here is also very nice with authentic decor.

We ate here twice during our 4 night stay. The drinks were better value than most other places in the area,7 euros for house wine .The food was chips with everything but plenty of it and well cooked.

We ate here for the second time (not something we do often) having been here in October and again this April, this has become one of our favorites in Palma; artichoke and padron peppers a must, meatballs also delicious. Waiter always friendly, chatty and helpful too.

I would rate this 6 if that was available. Excellent, attentive service. We ordered 8 items off the tapas menu and they were delivered 2 at a time, spaced nicely so we could enjoy them. Really lovely, authentic decor. They also offer a €25 per person tapas platter type option for groups of 4 or more.

We ate here last night and chose the restaurant for 2 reasons, it is close to our hotel and the reviews below about the tapas. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful and like a lot of people there, we chose the mixed tapas selection plus a side of small calamaris. The mixed plater was €14 P&P, and a carafe... More
