Very good tapas in a typical Mallorcan environment

Very well prepared tapas, all fresh and with a touch of innovation , you have to ask the owner (Ritchie) for the daily sprecials. Good relation in price/product. The service might be somewhat slow, however, the food is worth a visit. If the owner feels like, he even opens his private celler-bar. A... read more

First, when we arrived, they told us we couldn't come in with our dog (a tiny non-allergic dog in a bag). Then when we had dropped the dog off at the hotel and had finally been seated, the waitor was really rude to us. I don't think this is ok! The food wasn't that bad though, but all in all... More

Quite a good selection of Tapas and all of them very tasty. At least Saturdays night you will need to make a reservation, as it was full.

For some reason, this place did not show up on our searches, except for direct search, but we tried it out and was not disappointed. Had really great tapas, great wine and good service.

Just finished a dinner at this restaurant. Expectations were raised because of the environment and the decorations. Walked in to see if reservations were needed, we are staying around the corner. When we arrived we were seated on the upper floor. Serving was swift and good. Ordered 5 different tapas and some bread. The first 4 arrived within 20 minutes... More

Highly recommend this place for gourmet tapas! Their list includes around 30 tapas plus some mains. We had 7 tapas to share, all very delicious and innovative but simple. Could recommend especially the grilled artichokes and aubergines with honey! Great value for the quality of food as well - its worth finding the way through the narrow streets of old... More

We visited this restaurant which had become one of our reliable trusted venues when in Palma. On this occasion however we were disappointed, normally friendly waiter was gruff and unpleasant even argued with me that I hadn't actually ordered something that didn't turn up - not a good thing to do especially as he was wrong. Food over fried this... More

Based on other reviews we decided to eat here. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table (there is very good bar round the corner) so it might be worth booking. Three of us shared a selection of 7 tapas with an OK Rioja Crianza. The food was well prepared and served at a leisurely pace so we could... More

My sister in law and I found this restaurant while looking for an authentic eating place which was not catering to the tourist. While roaming the back streets we found this one on San Alonso and got a good feeling. We were not disappointed. It is an unpretentious tapas bar with a large menu. See their website - tavernacaracol.com. The... More

It may not have the youngest clientele or be a typical destination for a party table but this place serves much more authentic tapas than most places in the old city and does it without being a tourist trap....a slighty harder location to find than many but worth it!
