Really good, unique cuisine local to the island. Fairly priced. Slightly lacking in atmosphere with respect to the busier restaurants of the island but makes up for it with the food.

Consistently good and, most importantly, open all year round (apart from a month or so in winter), Can Forn offers some of the best and most interesting food in Formentera. Most of the recipes are local and make a welcome change from the routine stuff found in other seasonal places. Try the Habas fritas, the Colomb al Col or the... More

Luckily we went to Can Forn: We were able to eat good and earthy Catalan food served by a friendly Catalan waitress at a reasonable price in San Ferran, one of the two less touristy toswns on the island (the other is El Pilar de la Mola). We ate local specialties such as a salat with dried fish (Peix sec)... More

Tucked away at the end of San Fernando village and spilling out onto the pavement, this family-run restaurant serves local specialities nearly all year round, unlike most other restaurants on the island that cater to tourism with standard fare and are strictly seasonal. Mama is in the kitchen and her two sons take care of the dining area. They can... More

we had to wait at the bar for a table but got one pretty quick - I'd make a reservation if you're planning on dining there during the more popular months. The food is good, local and different to what we saw on most other menus. It didn't take particularly long and it was a new and exciting dining experience.... More

Run by two brothers, Can Forn is a small friendly restaurant serving excellent local cuisine. Virtually everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait a while, but isn't that what food is all about? Portions are good sized and well priced and the wine list is at sensible prices, not two or three times the cost price. We... More

Family owned restaurant, they cook Formentera cuisine. It's quite popular so it fills pretty soon. A lot of tables filled at the same time, so we had to wait gor the good a bit too long (even though you saw the guys working really hard!) Food is good and dishes are full, we could nOt finish our portions. Prices are... More
