Long, leisurely lunch.

We had a late start on a Saturday morning, so a after walk around the old part of the city and carrying Mrs MM's bags after our ubiquitous El Corte Ingles shopping trip, the big fella was in need of lunch. Spain has many things to offer the humble traveller, personally, the wining & dining options... read more

I live in Vitoria and I regularly go to this restaurant with family and friends because it's in fact a beautiful place which serves good food. Sadly after recent events and especially after been ripped off there yesterday, I have now decided that I am never going back. There were 5 of us there yesterday and we ordered enough food... More

Used to be much better. You can tell it fell out of favor with the locals because it has always been packed around pintxo time, but lately it is practically empty. So many better options for food in vitoria, and its sad to see a great place go south like this. Went there two days ago and they messed up... More

I come to vitoria twice a year from the states. Sagartoki used to be my favorite. The blue cheese croquettes and the fried egg are still awesome. But when my family came for my wedding last summer, the experience was horrible. The guy (i think half owner) basically ignored what we wanted and essentially told us what we were getting.... More

We went there for lunch. The variety of "pintxos" is great, most of them are traditional, some are creative. The restaurant is modern-trendy decorated. You have to try the pintxo called "huevo frito" (enveloped egg). Everything we ordered was very nice in terms of quality and taste. The portions' size was correct. The service was very helpful but for me... More

We stopped there for a quick lunch, trusted recommendations of the waiter for tapas selection and were not disappointed. Most of the tapas are traditional, some are creative. Tortilla was sublime! Enveloped egg melted in the mouth! There are 2 rooms - the front one is rather a tapas bar, the back one is a very trendy, well-designed restaurant for... More

Linked to the previous review dated April 19, we had a strange and unpleasant experience here. Food was fine and nice atmosphere. But the bill was inexplicably almost double what it should have been, based on what we had ordered. When challenged, the waiter/barman backed down but then started shouting and swearing at us in English that we were "thieves... More

Tasty & very good quality pintxos albeit on the expensive side. Reasonably priced wine. Avoid staff recommendations which are not on the 'menu' they're most of the time a rip-off!

Ate here the last 2 nights. Really enjoyed first night, sat at the bar in a crammed area but great atmosphere and food and really great value. Thought we would try out the restaurant tonight and completely the opposite. Looks cool with a dj box and large vinyl collection but dire atmosphere, slow service and more expensive experience. I highly... More
