Excellent food at reasonable price in the heart of Donostia's old town

With good luck we got a table without reservation on Saturday night as the place was fully booked. The service was very warm. Price for three courses and a bottle of wine for two was 66 €. The fish and shellfish dishes were delicious. The place was something between fine dining and more casual one.

We visited San Sebastian last Xmas and had one of the best meals there. The prawn salad was amazing! Flavor was well balanced and prawns so fresh! It was a nice change to the usual tapas scene. We went for lunch and was seated at a nice corner table. Service was professional but not too pretentious. We ordered the set... More

This restaurant serves local produce simply but well prepared without the need to embellish it with all sorts of (unnecessary) additions. We had the fish soup for which the area is renowned and we were not disappointed. We followed this with a lovely piece of Merluza simply prepared and presented but perfectly cooked. Postres (sweets) were cheese and torrija (... More

We were honestly quite disappointed about this place, having read all the good reviews while we searched TripAdvisor for a nice place for a sit down dinner on our last day in San Sebastian. The restaurant itself was ok, simple and neutral could work well - and did for a while until they turned the lights up, which made it... More

This restaurant is becoming a well known secret! Our luncheon tasting menu was far superior to the ones we had at 2 top-rated Michelin starred restaurants in the Basque country during this trip. We are amazed that it hasn't received its own Michelin star yet -- it certainly deserves it! We had the more expensive tasting menu, but it was... More

I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant! We tried the tasting meny with 6 courses and they all tasted great! Wine was included in the price and was very priceworthy. I highly recommend this restaurant which has a recommendation in Guide Michelin 2014.

The tasting menu was excellent French fare. Wine is included, the white was very good, the red not so good. Service was impeccable. Their slightly upscale sister restaurant is La Fabrica, but there are only marginal differences in quality or price between the two estabishments. Highly recommended.

Having stayed for 7 nights and planning 7 dinners in a row in this 'eating paradise' of San Sebastian, we wanted to space out/ mix and try as many types of cuisine starting from Basque to Spanish to 'Frenchised' Spanish etc - This presentation of 'nouvelle cuisine' with a Spanish wrapping was a nice experience - in addition, the people... La Muralla is a nice and cosy restaurant with delicious, tasty food. We chose a fixed meny and tasted roasted goat cheese, ravioli, duck breast and beef cheeks. All this, included wine for 25 EUR each! The staff was so nice and friendly and the atmosphere so good. We highly recommend a visit to this restaurant located in the old... More

While we came to appreciate tapas, a several course meal was what we wanted and La Muralla delivered! A wonderfully lovely restaurant, delightful service and fabulous food! Exciting, interesting and delicious! You must go. The meal and the value were unbelievable. Great, great value!
