No nonsense traditional pintxos

A really good bar to visit for traditional pintxos. For those less versed in Spanish there's an English menu if needed, although most of the food (including, unlike a lot of places, the hot dishes before being heated up) is out on the bar to help. We tried a few dishes, but the ham croquettes and... read more

All the food we tried was delicious...it was hard to pick a favourite! Very happy with the food and service. We did not mind having to stand and eat.

We came upon this place by accident and we're glad we did. The brochettes de gambas were amazing and the chorizo wrapped in bacon and fried were to die for. The owner was extremely busy behind the bar by himself but was extremely gracious and welcoming. Nothing was microwaved which is something you can't say about many bars in San... More

In a sea of pintxos this was one of our favourites. Its small with a casual atmosphere that lends itself to chatting with strangers. The service was really friendly and we enjoyed snacks from the bar and also ordering from the menu, which is helpfully written in multiple languages including english. The best gambas a la plancha.

One of my favourite pintxo bars in Donostia San Sebastián. The pintxos are fresh and tasty, and the white wine is decent too. The house red wine is disappointing however. The place is small and crowded, with no seating, but has a great atmosphere.

We came here following a recommendation to try the brocheta de gambas (fresh cooked prawn topped with red pepper sauce) and it didn't disappoint. Simple but delicious.

This was our first stop on our Pintox tour, they cooked some delicious Pinctox to order, but strangely nowhere to sit down?

We had some very disappointing tapas: the albondigas (meatballs) were tasteless and the mushroom wrapped in bacon wasn't any better as the bacon was overcooked and almost tooth-breaking. It's a small place without a lot of atmosphere. Walk on, there are better places in Donostia!

With the distinctively colored blue lcd menu(in english as well), there is no doubt that "tourists are very much welcome" here! However, where many other similar places abuse this, this pintxos bar does not compromise on its food! We liked the several fish pintxos and padron peppers. The garlic gambas was a bit too small and not particularly spectacular! Apart... More

We were advised by our hotel concierge to start our tapas evening here , this was by far the worst bar we visited . It is small , has a limited amount of pinxtos and the speciality prawn skewer was not particularly good . Walk on and there are so many more great busy bars .
