Of all the Pintxos I sampled in San Sebastián - the prawn brochettes and the Padron peppers at the Goiz Argi were the best. They are cooked freshly whilst you wait. Try a glass of the house Txakoli wine to go with them - a match made in heaven.

Ask for pintxo de gambas (or what everybody else there is getting) and pintxo moruno. It's a tiny bar so you might have to force your way through. But don't be timid, or you'd be missing out on one of the best places in San Sebastian.

Fantastic brocheta de gambas, and unbelievable value at only 2 euros a skewer. We only meant to pop in to try one but soon ordered another! A definite must do on your pintxo crawl, and very handy as it was one of the few places open on a Monday.

Our second stop with San Sebastian Pintxos Tours, Bar Goiz Argi is a rather small bar known for their brocheta de gambas (shrimp skewers). So everyone went for that along with a glass of vino blanco. The brocheta were simple but very tasty.

A great place at the start of Calle de Fermin. The staff are very helpful and can keep you amused in English. It's a bit small so if you don't go early it can be a bit of a push. Prawn skewers, Grilled Octopus, Chorizo and Bacon Pimientos di Padron are all to be recommended. The chorizo was some of... More

We were recommended to this place - it was nice. Small. Prawns were good. Clean. One of the better pintxos bar but definitely not the best.

We came across Bar Goiz Argi through a guide book and since we didn't know the first thing about which bars were good, we decided to try it out. First of all, there's a really good energy inside- it feels like this is were the "locals" go, not just some touristy place. Yes, as with all pinxtos bars, you have... More

Great atmosphere - worth pushing our way in through the crowd! The bar man was terrific at making suggestions and so we tried more than we would have. I love Padrón Peppers and chose those with a mix of other vegetarian options, while my husband enjoyed a skewer or two. Can't wait to revisit next time we are in San... More

This bar is on many lists of pintxos tours but it's definitely the best we tried in this city. The variety of pintxos was huge and they also do skewers of meat and shrimps and peppers (three different). I was more focused on pintxos but they wanted me to taste it anyway so they basically forced me to have it!... More
