Not being "stand and dine" pinchos fans, we were delighted to find this beautiful, small, smart, restaurant in the Gros area of San Sebastian. The food was very fine and served by a wonderfully friendly young woman who went out of her way to be sure everything was perfect. Quite a sophisticated menu with an inexpensive but adequate wine list... More

We were delighted with the recommendation of Ikaitz on our visit to San Sebastián. It offers both a tourist menu and an extensive la carte menu, written in English. The waitress was extremely helpful with our selections. The chef is Paul Bocuse trained. The imaginative presentation of the food is a highlight. Flavours are excellent. We started with roasted vegetables... More

My wife and I ate in this lovely restaurant this weekend. We chose the set menu and had a delicious meal. The foie starter was creamy and smooth, and my steak for main course was just right. It is also very good value. The restaurant became very busy whilst we were there,( Saturday night ), and was full of locals... More

We were staying in the Gros area and this restaurant was recommended to us by our pension. Lucky us because it was a fabulous lunch in an intimate, classy, interesting setting. The only downside was that we visited on the last of our five days in San Sebastian...we'd have wanted to go every day if we'd discovered it earlier. White... More

Friendly atmosphere with a good menu and flavoursome, well presented food. Mostly locals were around and the attentive owner ensured everything was up to scratch. Would visit again.

I'd like to give this 4 stars because my wife and I had a nice evening here but on reflection I think it only deserves 3. There are two waitresses in this restaurant - a very friendly middle aged woman, who did her best to explain the spanish menu in English, and a not so friendly young woman, who pours... More

My husband I chose this restaurant based on others reviews and we're not disappointed in the slightest! The owner chef and his server wife hit it right on the spot for innovative, tasty food at very reasonable prices. Would not hesitate to go here again and again. Strongly recommend a visit for lunch or dinner. Note: a popular spot with... More

A (very) wet night in Donostia and this place was 200m from our apartment so we went for it. Couldn't have done better. Lovely welcome and service, outstanding prix fixe dinner menu, wine included, and really imaginative food and presentation, together with included wine. This is real quality cooking. We'd recommend this highly to others, and would come back ourselves... More

We recently enjoyed a delightful dinner at Ikaitz. We had read several reviews and it was a block from our apartment in the Gros area of San Sebastián. We both chose from the prix fixe dinner menu. The service was helpful and responsive and the food was excellent. An enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.
