Great value and variety

Having been 'ripped off' the night before in the tourist section of the old town by visiting a poor quality but expensive bar we were looking for somewhere better! We had a superb 10 euro lunch here consisting of 3 cold pintxos and 2 hot ones. There was a great selection on offer. This plus a... read more

This restaurant is conveniently located across the street from the Cristina Maria. We actually went there after an exhausting night in Old Town fighting the crowds three times. It's a great late night stop for a glass of wine or light tapas. Very busy, you will wait for a table. The special of the day was paella and the racion... More

Crossing countries for 24 days and having meals from one place to another gave my taste buds a highly selective disorder. Sometimes food just taste the same. But when I came to experience the dishes served to us in this cafe made my taste buds alive again. From appetizers to main course, all the dishes were prepared to perfection. The... More

Excellent location...across from Hotel Maria Cristina, near oldtown and the beach! Consistently wonderful dishes and pintxos. Very attentive staff. Wonderfully managed by the García family

The location is just nice, just a few hundred meters walk from the beach. We went there in a group of 29pax and the menu was preordered. The table setting was nice, some of us chose red wine and some other chose rose wine, which was nice. Since I have read about tapas bas hopping in San Sebastian and very... More

A place to see and be seen. Great local atmosphere, but don't eat anything here. The food is much better everywhere else. Even the fried calamari is almost inedible. Have a drink, take a picture, move on!

When we walked by about lunchtime, Oquendo did look very nice. We are not familiar with Spain and their eating habits, but when we saw a Tripadvisor sticker on the window we did enter. Oquendo is like a pub, with families, young and older ones. They had a Pinxto formule, and a very nice waitress did explain in English: choose... More

Mobbed, but worth the crush. We found some interesting choices here along with fast and friendly service. We were pleased to find langoustine in several varieties along with mini wagyu burgers and freshly made tortilla. The choices of wines were extensive and very well priced. If in need of a sweet then order the molten brownie with ice cream. It's... More

We went to the restaurant to try the menu del dia and some good spanish wines which we had seen on the site. Unfortunately there wasnt a menu del dia that day (?) so we decided to have same tapas. All kinds of dishes were not available. Secondly when we ordered a bottle of Remelluri (20 euro on the wine... More

We went to Oquendo bar twice just to have nice relaxed sit down and a bite to eat. The pintxos selection is not massive but good nonetheless. We especially loved the pimientos de padron. Free wifi available.
