The only negative comment I would make about this beautiful restaurant is our water glasses had a a distinctive unpleasant musty odour. We have experienced this at some other restaurants which I think is maybe due to glassware sitting in the dishwasher for a period of time. Anyway, we asked for them to be changed which they did straightaway. Other... More

Food ingredients are outstanding; dishes are extremely well arranged and artistically designed. The great tasting menu consisted of 14 dishes. We liked especially (1) mille-feuille of smoked eel, foie-gras, spring onions and green apple, (2) the artistic presentation of vegetable hearts salad with seafood, cream of lettuce and iodized juice and (3) the tender taste of the roasted pigeon served... After visiting arzak, akelare and martin b. I have to say that we were most impressed by the latter. Considering all three stand on the vanguoard of high end cuisine we thought MB had all it took to become out favourite: excelent, tasty innovative food, impressive service and beautiful setting. Martin also came and shared a word with us, which... More

I have had the pleasure and dismay of dining at 1, 2, and 3 Michelin star restaurants. My experience is that anything above 1 star will likely be hit and miss, because the expectations are too high or the value is just not there for the quality of food being served. Finally, a mutli-starred restaurant that is worth it. Top... More

Very difficult to find a place that better combines outstanding service with an out of this world culinary experience. Martin Berasategui is without a doubt one of the best chef in the world. His creative cousine combines the classic Spanish and basque dishes with the modern touch of a genius. Unfortunately he was not there the day of our visit,... More

Martin Berasategui is a 3 star Michelin chef so obviously the food is exemplary. His restaurant it's true to say is a temple to gastronomy. But for me a great restaurant and a memorable meal isn't simply about the food, but the overall experience. And that includes the staff, the atmosphere and the setting. I don't know about other people... More

Most expensive meal I had. The food was very good but maybe too much of molecular dishes in the entire course. The service by the staffs was definitely top notch.

Absolutely dining heaven. The food was amazing, the service superb and the atmosphere wonderful. From the moment we entered, we were transported to a level beyond a place above and beyond anything we had ever experienced before. While the cost was high in dollar terms, it was tremendous value. A "must do" for anyone that loves great food and wine,... More

Quite simply the best dining experience I have ever had. Berasategui is a genius, a number of the dishes on his 'Great Tasting Menu' span decades and this is a true testament to his talent and innovation. Each of the 12 courses could be described as unforgettable. Several dishes, such as his roast pigeon with liquid tubers, (deceptively simple sounding)... More

Unparalleled dining experience. We only had lunch, sitting outside looking out to the hills being pampered by the professionals. Every aspect were looked after, from the placement of the serving items to the white gloved treatment! The" hearts of vegetables garden" was a dish that you would want to admire, wonder, and for sure amazed since the presentation was like... More
