Took the family here, arrived "early" around 19h30 so got a table and then set forth on a great discovery of their tapas. Truly excellent and very attentive and nice service despite our very limited capacity to speak Spanish.

Our group of 7 enjoyed a lovely lunch at Bar La Cepa, all our meals were well received by all and as 1 of the group was looking for a Gluten free restraurant and this was recommended by the Tourists office. The service was also very good.

One of the pintxos bars we returned to during our 3 day visit this month. Really good traditional pintxos. The bar is popular so a good atmosphere too. Being a coeliac in Spain is fine as restaurants are knowledgable but we had a great experience here - they were very helpful, careful about cross contamination and even made me my... More

I've spent three week in Donostia and I've been in several "Pintchos" restaurant in its old town. It's hard to named one above the others. I have tasted very good food everywhere and if I really have to pick up one or two places, this is one of them. Pintchos bar, but not only. Wide selection with amazing taste, don't... More

Monday is the slowest day of the week for bars and restaurants in San Sebastián, and quite a few are closed. Bar La Cepa however was packed at 9 pm in the evening, and for good reason. We went there twice, at lunch and at dinner. Enjoyed the hambon croquettes and the bell peppers stuffed with bacalao (cod).

We love pintxos/tapas and this place did not disappoint. We tried many pintxos places in the old town and La Cepa and Borda Berri were the two that we went back twice too. Very nice pinxos place right on 31 de Agosto, probably the second most crowded street in the city center. Pinxos are actually really good, and let the waiter suggest you. I would highly recommend the fried stuffed peppers, the tortillas but also the other pinxos you find on the counter. The service is also very nice- they invited me to... More

We came back here over and over just to have jamon iberico. The jamon iberico here was the best we had in San Sebastian, definetely. Have it with a bottle of local cider and you will never want to leave Donostia again!
