We love pintxos/tapas and this place did not disappoint. We tried many pintxos places in the old town and La Cepa and Borda Berri were the two that we went back twice too. La Cepa definitely had the best jamon in town ! They had it going on with the friendly bar staff and the atmosphere was a really cool... More

Very nice pinxos place right on 31 de Agosto, probably the second most crowded street in the city center. Pinxos are actually really good, and let the waiter suggest you. I would highly recommend the fried stuffed peppers, the tortillas but also the other pinxos you find on the counter. The service is also very nice- they invited me to... More

We came back here over and over just to have jamon iberico. The jamon iberico here was the best we had in San Sebastian, definetely. Have it with a bottle of local cider and you will never want to leave Donostia again!

This is a regular stop for me when I go through San Seb. Know for the best Jamon in San Seb. I have to agree. Great for dinner as well. Las cepas son bueno. Get some drinks, a plate of jamon and let in melt in your mouth.

There is arestaurant but the tapas part is where everyone goes. It is on the tapas crawl. All though heaving there is a fast turnover and tables soon become vacant. Good cheerful pinchos and racions of food are served. Cheerful staff make an enjoyable evening and dont forget the cheesecake -its a must!.

We visited La Cepa twice in three days (lunch and evening). Their pintxos were varied and tasty. A locals type of place but friendly to tourists as well.

we went twice - first to kill time and at 8pm it was already lively, 100% locals which is always a good sign. Instantly welcomed and the system explained. So good we went back for lunch the following day. Huge variety, no fuss about answering the questions on menu - everything hot and fresh. We would go back to San... More

We got to La Cepa quite early and it was still quiet. There was still a decent enough atmosphere and it struck us as a laid back and friendly place. We had a laugh with the bar man who recommended an excellent bacalao tortilla. We also had a couple of glasses of decent Rioja and were pleasantly surprised when the... More

They do all manner of dishes here but you go for the Jamon. It's not cheap but it is so delicious silky and light. The other stand out dish is the 'hongo' or mushrooms which, again, aren't cheap but are a huge plate of Ceps served with an egg yolk. Great atmosphere and our group of 16 perched outside round...
