The food in this restaurant is wonderful. It is a perfect fusion of excellent cooking and clever culinary skills. If you get the chance to visit I unreservedly recommend it.

My wife and I dined at Akelare last week. We had two different tasting menus which gave us the opportunity to try about 18 dishes. Unfortunately, only 3 or 4 dishes were really notable. In general, I would say that the preparation of the dishes was in line with 1 star dining in a city like New York or San... More

Yes this place has a fantastic view and is a very romantic experience. But this is not the best meal I had in Spain. Made a reservation well in advance as expected for this type of restaurant. My wife and I were returning from a day trip in Rioja, and had a late lunch. She was not feeling very hungry... More

there are several recomendations, take in advance reservation, suggestion for lunch time, and ask table close to the window, landscape incredible. Pedro the Cheff love to surprise the client, food is good in quantity and service very good, this must be compulsory in such 3 stars michelin, but I visited several, and this is probably the best i know, i've... This is a very good restaurant, very good indeed, but given that it holds three Michelin stars, both of us managed to be a little disappointed with it. The setting is beautiful, up on a hill top with large windows looking out over the Atlantic. We both had the tasting menu and paired wines over about three hours. The good... More

We were very lucky to get a table 2 hours before our meal and very glad we did! The restaurant is not in San Sebastian center but actually situated on top of a hill overlooking the sea. You can get there by driving or taking a taxi from the centre. The ambience and view was stunning, if you can request... More

The service is impeccable. Dining in front of a huge glass window watching the sunset is also quite amazing. The food tastes good but this seems more about the presentation and the complications than the flavours in the end. Would i go again? YES!

Amazing restaurant. Food is of the highest quality possible, fancy but not overcomplicated, elegant, but still close to its simple roots, balanced. The location and view are great, the staff is fantastic. One of the best restaurants i have ever been to.
