Good start to an evening of pinxtos exploring

The mussels are above average, the patatas bravas slightly above average and the calamari average. However, this is a place more to be experienced enroute to more exotic fare than an end in itself. We arrived a few minutes before opening at 6PM on a Sunday and there were about 30 people waiting... read more

Lousy looking place, full of people and very noisy any time of the day ...Who cares??? When you can eat the best spicy potatoes in town, with delicious calamari and the best clams you have ever tried?? Prices are very competitive and you can have a full dinner for 10-15 euros esch. This is a MUST when you visit San... More

This place was recommended to us for the patatas bravas which exceeded expectations. The service was fast and if you choose to tip they will ring the bell in your honour ;-)

Fantastic mussels and padron peppers. Crazy busy but the staff somehow manage to keep track of your order. Very popular with the tourists and locals alike.

Went there cause of the entry in lonely planet, and it was totally worth it. Mejillones are the speciality, so try those. Also very cool to see the bartenders at work, who are very friendly. Typically for those kind of places, there are no tables. Only the bar where you can stand at. Be sure to stop there on your... More

What a great beginning to Donostia for me and my wife! Simple food, amazing fresh flavours and great atmosphere! Loved the pimientos del pardrón! The fried squid and the mejillones a la marinera! A must visit!

Great place if you're wanting to experience traditional Spanish Cusine. Super fast! Sooo busy between 7pm and 10pm tho. You just need to squeeze your way in and wave at the waiters. Very good price. Delicous food - had the potatas bravis and squid. I want to go back!!

If you like well prepared mussels and calamari, cold beer in a very informal setting this is the place. One of the best, of many good ones in San Sebastian. Will return!

It is not fancy but is authentic and tasty. They have only a few dishes but they are all great. It is not for a data or comfortable seating, it is to eat, drink and get away.

After reading so many great reviews, we felt like we had to go. While the service was quick and friendly and the sangria was good. I would say the calamari was average. The mussels in the spicy sauce were ok and the best were the mussels with the diced onion and vinegar topping. The patata bravas were ok, however, I... More
