We tried several Pintxos bars in San Sebastian-Donostia. We tried to get into Borda Berri a few times but it was generally closed during the day. On our last night we arrived at 7:30 pm, just as they lifted the doors to open. Unlike most of the other local Pintxos bars, there is no food on the counter, everything must... More

During a recent trip to Donostia, this was one of my favorites... I recommend you go for the beef cheeks and stay for the red wine :)

Not much to add to other reviews. Amazing food for about 3 euro per pintxos and cheap local whine. Highly recommendable for foodies and tourists alike! It is however loud and crowded, but regard it as part of the experience!

Went here purely on TA recommendations. Typical tapa place, absolute bedlam in there due to popularity, mostly tourists. Don't expect a friendly greeting behind the counter or a smile but we shared veal cheeks and a pork kebab and glasses of txacoli. I've been touring northern Spain but these are probably the two best tapas we had, top notch. Very... More

This pintxo bar specialises in hot, traditional pintxos. It is of a humble size and without any excessive elegance. The ambience is convivial, wines delightful, and service effective. The food is incredibly good, and for such a small fee! The 'carrillera', slow cooked cow cheek is by far its highlight, as well as many other, perhaps strange sounding, hot pintxos,... More

Borda Berri is a pintxos bar, but there is no display of tiny bits on the counter. Instead a short menu is provided on a black board. It seems all dishes are hot and you must order at the bar. It is worth it. The grilled octopus was perfect, veal cheeks as well and the risotto unbelievable. The texture of... More

Fantastic! This place was recommended to us by a local and what a find. Unassuming on the in and out and no Tapas or Pinchos on the bar ( a sign of fresher food apparently) The menu is very small and limited. This is as the chef cooks each item to order. The chef can be seen through the hatch... More

This place gets jam-packed and it is definitely easy to see why; the pintxos are outstanding. The veal cheek in red wine sauce is easily THE best thing I ate in San Sebastian. Also, the duck ravioli is to die for. We enjoyed the risotto and a cod dish as well. Though they are busy, they do the best they... More

Loved everything we tasted here and we tried 13 out of the 15 items on the menu! Would highly recommend to everyone as a must visit place. .
