If you have to pick just one pinxto bar in all San Sebastián ( and I hope you never do), then let it be Borda Berri. Unlike most pinxto bars, there is no range of cold pinxtos laid out. The tiny bar which is always bursting at the seams serves only hot ones, and I would suggest you go early,... More

Try the stewed beef cheeks or the risotto of mushrooms, delicious and they are the specialities of this particular pintxo bar.

My favourite food of my trip. Every dish tried was excellent. My only regret is that I run out of time to return. Had the kebab. duck, veal cheeks and ravioli. Staff very good and there is a menu in English.

Our guide took us here as it specialises in risottos. Nothing to see on the bar so you needed to be local to know what there fare was. I had a cheese one which was divine. Others had mushroom or ham which all went down well washed down with the local beer. If you like rice dishes you must go... More

The best tapas I have had ever and nicely different to the traditional tapas you see in other areas of Spain. All prepared fresh and taste amazing. It's a bit repetitive but the veal cheek is just amazing as was the duck, the pork rib and tomato with tuna. Prices are very good for what you get. Definitely worth a... More

A small bar with 1 table outside and 1 stool inside. Gets busy and crowded, so although the food is excellent the experience could be better. We all had one dish, I had "Oreja de Cerdo con Romescu" which was fantastic, the other tapas where very good. There are no tapas on display as they are all made to order... More

Great place and worth the high review score. Very nice tapas. Nothing at the counter but all prepared fresh in the kitchen. The tomato stuffed with tune sounds simple but is delicious. Same goes for the goat cheese.

I tried their famous dishes, beef cheek and bomba rice. The beef cheek was soft and tasted ok but similar cheeks could be have all over the world nowadays. And I had no idea why the rice was special.

We had chosen a few bars for this particular evening for a Pintxos tour & Bar Borda Berri was very high on the list to try. It was very busy when we arrived & there was standing room only at one of the wall tables. We both ordered the veal cheeks with red wine along with a glass of wine.... More

After being under impressed with Bar Nestor, we were extremely impressed with Borda Berri. Great waiter, fabulous, inventive pintxo from the chalk board, duck was to die for as were the veal cheeks. A reputation well deserved.
