This place is amazing

Went on a pintxos tour alone ending up at this place and got chatting to some fellow travellers. We ended up trying loads of different dishes - they are all a taste sensation - each and every tapa was of the same high quality. I can't express enough how great this place is - also try the basque... read more

Borda Berri is so good and gets so packed with people anywhere from locals, to backpackers, to classy clientele the workers must sometimes close the front gates early as Borda Berri gets filled to capacity. Borda Berri is worth the packed crowd and elbow throwing patrons. This is the place to try some tapas style dishes hastily savoring each bite... More

I definitely recommend the veal cheek, pulpo, duck and calamari. Visited this place 3 times on my travels and it was so worth it. Each meal is small and about 3 euros each but it is incredible! I also included a picture of the pigs ear which sounds disgusting but tastes phenomenal!

Definitely one of the best pintxos bars in San Sebastian. The risotto was amazing as were the veal cheeks. Much better than the same dishes elsewhere.

Freshly made tapas, absolutely delicious. It's super busy and the staff don't rush, but that means they remember who you are and off lovely hospitality. Cannot recommend this place enough. Try to oreja de cerdo. Yum!

The place is packed but don't be put off. The man taking our order seemed to remember who ordered what and got your attention when your food was ready. If your Spanish isn't great I'd advise staying near the bar as they shout the names of the dishes. The food is amazing and it's a great experience. The risotto and... More

It was packed, sooo packed and customers were standing shoulders to shoulders. we didn't know how and where to order. eventually, we figured out the order has to be given to a lady behind the counter. She took our order, gave us our drinks and told us to pay attention to our food order, when she will it out. ?!?!?!.... More

If you're tired of the standard sandwich-counter style pintxos, make your way to the tiny hole in the wall no frills Borda Berri. Every plate was absolutely delicious, especially the melt in the mouth veal cheeks, and the risotto. Our only disappointment was finding this gem at the end of our trip! Not to be missed in San Sebastián.

A friend had recommended the beef cheek or in Spanish (Carrillera) here and it did not disappoint! It's well worth the fight to get to the bar and order some delicious food!! We also had some sidra which is natural non fizzy Basque cider. Real refreshing but quite tarty!!! Can't wait to go back!!

Yes the place is packed but that tells you something! Be patient and they will take your order and even have an english menu to help. One of the best tapas bars in san seb with delicious cheeks, ribs and duck.
