Something a little different

Just popped in here for one or two, and stayed for five or six! Delicious and innovative! My favourite was the fig with ham and banana! Definitely worth dropping in for at leaste one or two!

Crowded bar suggests the great food you are about to have. Everyone happy, friendly staff. Push your way in they'll look after you. Crowds move in and out quickly. Street eating is a worthy option.

If you are looking to try a more modern take on pintos (fusion style) and don't mind crowds you should definitely make a point of going here. An incredibly busy and bustling atmosphere with some unbelievable pintos on offer. We were blown away! Don't be afraid to branch out and try something new, it won't disappoint.

One of the more modern and inventive pinxto bars in San Seb. We went to many, and this had the one dish that stood out above all others by a mile. La Hoguera. A terracotta pot with buring charcoal embers in it, and a grill over the top. You cook/smoke a slither of cod yourself for ten seconds each side,... More

Zeruko proved to be very different to most of the pintxos bars we visited. Rather than focusing purely on traditional Basque food, it provided some innovative, fun, twists on traditional flavours (with out disappearing too far down the "molecular gastronomy" hole). Over a couple of visits we tried a few different plates, our favourites being the fig with ham-wrapped banana,... More

Probably the hype is a little over the top but it was still a good experience. We got there about 7:30 and they were just preparing to open. We grabbed a table and ordered right away, they warm up whatever should be hot and probably our favourite was the langoustines wrapped in noodle and deep fried.

There are pinxtos and there is Zeruko! Michelin star quality, I did not know this would exist, make sure you ask the waiters to cook the specials. The regular ones are also good, but the specials, with bacalo, one with lobster and other delicious ones are really even better. Busy until very late. For those who dont have a lot... More

Bit more Molecular gastronomy than the other Pinxtos Bars we frequented but have to say a real fave of mine! Clever twists using traditional and unexpected ingredients! I picked what I thought was Tuna turned out was Morcilla!! !Bit of theatre too a la the cod dish! Something I think would translate well to UK!
