Clearly packed with locals and luckily air-conditioned the night we went, this authentic pintxos bar was good value and fun to be at. You need a decent set of elbows and no inhibitions about using them to get to the bar to order (when in Rome, or is it when in San Sebastian...) but no one seems to mind and... More

We had a nice afternoon break after visiting the city. The tapas were tasty and the price super reasonable. The atmosphere was amazing as this place is mostly frequented by locals. Service at the bar is super fast. We had a great time.

We went here for lunch when we discovered Borda Berri was not open during the day. Bar Sport does have a good selection of Pintxos at the bar and we also tried the calamari (very good but not the best in town). One of the advantages of Bar Sport is that there are a few tables to sit at if... More

We hit this Pinchos Bar first on our tour of the Old Town. It was highly rated on Trip Advisor; the bar is small like many other places and the food was average. The assortment consisted of about 10 different choices. There are many other places that offer twice the assortment. The staff was friendly but this place should be... More

We walked into Bar Sport for lunch at around 1:00 PM, and the place went from empty to crowded in mere minutes. Like most places in San Sebastian, the pinxtos were already prepared and on the bar. I went to take a pinxto and there was a long, curly human hair on the food. This turned me off, but I... More

There is nothing wrong with this place, but nothing special either. It is a sports bar that happens to be in the old town of Donostia and serves a wide range of tapas. Quality was ordinary for the area, and the service a bit below (they are focused on chatting in Basque with the locals), but nothing of note. Drop... More

We kept coming back here for the calamari, tried one or two others but would avoid the patas bravas as they were soaked in sauce, which we personally didnt like.

The old quarter of San Sebastian is a draw to locals and tourists alike with many types of food available. The classic is tapas/pintxos and is available in a bewildering number of bars of which I have tried many. Bar sport has an excellent selection of hot and cold tapas, creditable home made sangria and good Txacoli white wine. The... More

First Pinxtos bar that we went into and probably one of the best, really traditional interior, plenty of locals stopping bar, staff helpful. Good selection. In the heart of the old town.

Great selection of pintxos on the bar, and you can also order off the chalk board. If you're not familiar with all the pintxos on the bar, you can order from the bartender and he will know which ones need to go to the kitchen for a warm up. Our favorites included the foie a la plancha and the croquetas.... More
