A good meal at a "normal" time!

Booked this online for a 7 pm meal, and was surprised to see it actually worked! It's just around the corner from the Guggenheim and Gran Domine Hotel, so perfect for jet-lagged new arrivals. Mostly fish on the menu--everything we had was delicious, wine was very good, and were very gratified to... read more

I ate here in late April when I town visiting the Guggenheim museum (which is just a few short blocks away). It was a great introduction to the world of fine Basque cuisine, at a fraction of the cost of many other restaurants. The total bill - for the eight course tasting menu and paired wine with each course -... More

Had the eight course tasting menu, which did not disappoint, the food was delicious beautifully presented served by very helpful knowledgeable staff. It was a very well balanced meal each course a delight.I had the matching wine flight of local wines which was a great way to taste wines I may otherwise not experience. All in all a great meal and excellent value a... This restaurant is a class act. The food was of a very good quality, both in terms of taste/flavour. The presentation was also top notch. We went for the taster menu at a bargain Euro 55 (comparative for taster menus) and found it of an excellent quality. While there was some alchemy (smoking dessert, for example), it was used sparingly... More

We went for the 8 course gastronomic menu what was a really great experience, every plate was served in a different way, once with smoking ice, once within a tin box, once on a cooking plate... every dish was a discovery, special taste from raw tuna fish with superb condiments to foie gras and smoked skrei.... All products were of perfect... More

Not sure what everybody is raving about. Food is adequate and service is professional. But some aspects of the meal left to be desired. Vegetables were not roasted but burnt. A starter sold as artichoke carpaccio was just one cooked artichoke bottom mashed, for 11 euro, mind you. Most produce is of high quality, but the cooking does not justify... More

You must go to this restaurant. We opted for the tasting menu and were blown away. Each course dazzled us beyond belief. The two of us visited the restaurant back in September for a late lunch and had the summer menu and couldn't have been happier. The service was impeccable and wine suggestions were spot on. There wasn't one thing... More

This is a contemporary restaurant with decidedly cutting-edge cuisine. We had the tasting menu, which is almost theater as well as dinner. Delicious, and you won't find yourself cooking in this style at home. Located very close to the Guggenheim Museum, easily combined with a visit there. Needless to say, they're used to catering to tourists. Expensive, yes, but it's... More

Being honest, I don't know what else that needs to be said, other than this is the best food that I've had in my life. We opted to have the 7 course tasting menu & each course exceeded expectations. Not only did the unexpected flavour combinations taste extraordinary but each dish was served up in a quirky way to add... More

We had lunch at this place and we liked it very much - food was very tasty and everything was cooked in a special way, our waiter was brilliant - he told us about every dish and was very nice, so we decided to visit it again in evening - and again - everything were wonderful! )))
