Sophisticated food, good service and good value

We were a group of four people who visited in December 2015 for dinner while on a business trip. We opted for the Menú Yandiola : €49 for four courses plus amuse bouche, petite fours, water and wine. We unanimously decided it was exceptional value given the surroundings, food and service. Would... read more

We went with a large group here for New Years, the restaurant welcomed with champagne when getting out of the elevator. Very elegant place, with beautiful tables, and nice staff. Everything that came out of the kitchen was amazing, the environment is family friendly but could also be very romantic. We got to see some of the soccer players from... More

I wanted somewhere that served a nice dinner instead of pintxos, as it was my partner's 40th birthday. I also needed somewhere open on a Sunday evening, which narrowed my options! Went with the Yandiola, and did not regret it. After a G&T on the relaxing roof terrace we went downstairs to the restaurant. It was quiet, and we were... More

My brother and sister took me here for my 21st birthday, and as a serious foodie I was delighted. Great food, exciting and inventive. By far the best razor clams I have ever had.

The newly opened Yandiola is a very comfortable restaurant serving gourmet meals in the heart of a new Philippe Starck space at the heart of Bilbao. Offering set menus from €49 and interesting gourmet selections, the restaurant is a pleasant addition to Bilbao's foodie scene. Starters and deserts were excellent but my partners lamb seemed more appetising than my runny... More

Wow, I'm so shocked to read the other reviews because our experience couldn't have been more different. Maybe the chef and staff changed, but this was the best meal we had in Spain, by far, and the service was stellar. Granted, the restaurant was not crowded on the evening we went, but the wait staff was very attentive (unlike EVERY... More

I had better checked tripadvisor before walking into this restaurant. The building where it is situated is amazing with a combination of old architecture and new by Starck. So one thinks to fast that a restaurant in such surroundings would need to be excellent. The menu, entrance and restaurant is very nice and spacious ensuring good privacy. The host speaks... More

In a very expensive restaurant the less you can expect (of course apart of good food) is an exceptional service. Not at all. The food was medium to low level and extremely expensive for the quality. The service was terrible. Half an hour waiting for dessert (a piece of cake nothing more elaborated) is bad even in a cheap place,... More

We had their cheap menu for 49 euros. A lot is inkluderar in this: apertivo, 4 dishes, wine and coffee. The starter was very good and the dessert was good. The fish dish and the meat dish were a disaster. We do not understand the idea behind these dishes. They looked like and tasted like dishes you buy in a... More

We knew the meal was going to be expensive but it was a treat and recommended in a guide my Husband had studied before our visit. The Alhóndiga Bilbao building, site of the Restaurant is a very beautiful building. We called in on a Saturday night to book for the following evening at 9pm. This did not seem to be... More
