They have some very good pinchos here and good pincho moruno. Be sure to go upstairs to the bathroom, but instead of turning left into the bathroom, turn right to see the interior balcony overlooking the restaurant...secreto secreto! Also, the service can be a little raspy, but it is so endearing that you should not mind.

Beautiful building with a great lunchtime menu of the day which was fantastic value and quality. Lovely to just sit and look around the room off a lovely square

This place was recommended by a friend & became a pit stop every day we were in Bilbao. Great pintxos, mostly (one exception) efficient & charming service. A bar for drinking, another for drinking & dining & a very funky little private dining room. Food was all delicious, pintxos only. Drinks likewise. Service classic Spanish. I mean that in a... More

We enjoyed the lamb kebabs here & the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere plus it looked like a traditonal tapas place with tiles etc.

This is an excellent place for a meal, drink, snack. I've been here many times over the years and it has not changed. You can also make it as cheap or expensive as you like, but the Day Menus are very good value. A beer during the afternoon or a knockout G&T - both went down nicely.

We dropped by twice for drinks and tapas. It is a beautiful building and there is a great buzz to the place. It definitely helps if you order quickly and in Spanish and if you are shy and retiring, you will be ignored for those who get their shout in first. However, it is worth the effort. They have a great... More

The hole dinner for 22 Euro: 3 starters, a main course, a dessert, coffee and a hole bottle of wine. Everything were good tasting and served quickly. The cafe/restaurant is from 1903 and worth seeing. I can recommend this place.

Visited as recommended in guide book. Beautiful building with traditional tiles. Food was good but the experience was marred by the surly waiters/bar staff. Part of the joy of travelling is trying new foods. The bar man here lost patience with us trying to decide what to eat and plonked 4 pintxos on a plate for us. At least the... More

We wnt here 3 times in one week. Two times lunch and one diner. Each time we apreciated overall experience most. Pinchos are good lamb skewers from the corner Ahmed grill exceptional. Dinner met expectations. Wine served is good. So... Go for it! A must.
