At the port of Gijon is this modern restaurant, parking space nearby. Friendly staff and a modern innovative menu card. The tasting menu was excellent, you got a selection of all the good dishes from the kitchen.

On arrival we were treated like impostors. The service on the hole was sloppy, including one waitress spilling my wine on my plate, without apology. They took the plates away before we had finished and didn't even take our coats, rather left them hanging on that back of our chairs, not what you expect from the most expensive restaurant in... I made a reservation here in late June 2013 just as the restaurant's name had changed from El Puerto. I was a little concerned about the change in management, but hoped that the quality of food would continue. It turned out I had nothing to worry about. This was by far my best meal in Asturias. It began with two... More

My daughter and I went for our last dinner in Asturias to the wonderful Restaurante Auga. From the moment we arrived we were made welcome. We decided to try the 'Percebes' which were delicious with a glass of champagne. Following this I had the Mero which was quite possibly the best fish I've had. An exceptional dinner with attentive service... More

We ate lunch at El Puerto last week and it was the best meal of our time in Asturias. Great location on the water with ample parking which is free from 2 until 4. Really attentive but unobtrusive service. We shared a starter of spicy croquettes which have now become our favourite ever! Then lamb for my husband and monkfish... More

This was my second time in this restaurant, but the first time since its new owners (G. Pañeda and Antonio Pérez) have moved to here from Mareo, where they used to run another restaurant ("La Solana"). The location is excellent, just in the middle of Gijón's old harbour, a few steps from the town hall and San Lorenzo beach. It... More

This is an excellent restaurant in the port of Gijón, right downtown. Service was very good and each of the dishes, from paletilla de lechal, mero, merluza, entrecot, etc. was perfectly prepared. The arroz con leche is one of Asturias' best. Enjoy and be sure to try the daily recommendations.

This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten in. The location is great, situated in the harbour with outdoor space weather permitting. We started with the large red prawns which, although expensive, are fantastic. I then had the mero (grouper) which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the rape (monkfish). We both had puddings, also nice... More
