We went here to celebrate our son's A level results and getting into his 1st choice of university. As it was a special event we all chose the menu degustation which was a wonderful 2.5 hour experience of modern Asturian food at its best and most well presented. The service was outstanding and as others have observed, the wine list... More

It is a bit of a mission to get to, but the rural setting is lovely, the service we got was amazing, the wine list is really ell put together and has some lovely local wines alongside French, Australian and American wines. We did not go for the tasting menu, but everything we had was very fresh and delicious. The... More

I took my parents for lunch to La Tabla on our recent visit to Gijon and this restaurant didn't disappoint. Location is outstanding, great views of the countryside, slightly out of the city centre, 10 minute journey in a taxi. The waiters are really welcoming and attentive without being too pushy. Food was brilliant. Being from Gijon and being used... More

A bit of a hike from central Gijon but well worth the drive. Excellent fish and meat and a very deep Spanish wine list featuring some excellent Spanish vintages. The service was of a level commensurate with 5 star establishments. I loved it and you will travel far to get service and food this good anywhere.

La Tabla is a little far away from the centre of Gijon. Decoration is really nice http://www.restaurantelatabla.com/ The rate is high in comparision with Asturias price, but you pay for a good place, the food is really super. But the best of all the owner has a great wine list, with really unkown but marvellous wines. It is a good... More
