This restaurant offered an unusual selection of tapas in generous and well presented portions. We especially enjoyed the duck ravioli and the provolone gratin and found 4 tapas sufficient for 4 of us for lunch. The quality was excellent and the waiters extremely helpful and friendly. The best meal we had in Seville.

We went here for a nice meal for 2 one evening based on positive reviews I'd read on Tripadvisor. There was only us and another table dining and we were in there until 10.30pm so it was pretty quiet. In fact it was very quiet and there was little atmosphere. The restaurant is tired - peel back the table cloth... More

My husband and I had dinner here based on the reviews and Rick Steve's recommendation in his book. We ordered five tapas - Patridge pate, anchovies with chips, provolone gratin, squid meatballs, and rice noodles with prawns. From our experience, I question if we ate at the same restaurant as other reviewers (but unfortunately we did) and would never consider... More

Slightly hard to find on the corner of Plaza Santa Maria in the Barrio Santa Cruz area, Poncio has a nice selection of creative tapas nicely presented. Kind of an upscale tapas place, but with good prices. We sat outside on the plaza area, but the inside dining area looked really nice. There is an adjacent pub/bar. I had the... More

The Poncio Restaurant, or as their business cards say, Taberna Poncio, is a great place for Tapas in Seville. Set just outside the main tourist area with a few tables outside in a small patio, this small restaurant serves up very tasty portions of what I would call gourmet tapas. My girlfriend and I had Iberian ham, ravioli with duck... More

After having been in the south of Spain for about 10 days, we spent the last 4 days in Seville. We found Poncio to be one of the best Spanish restaurants , if not the best restaurant we ate in during our 2 weeks in Granada, Cordoba and Seville. The food was consistently wonderful, so we found ourselves going back... More

We tried to go on a Thurs eve, but despite the empty restaurant, were turned away -- unless we wanted an outside table (no umbrella) next to busy Calle Ximenez. Glad we went to nearby Catalina Tapas Bar instead (it was great, see our review of them). Especially when the downpour hit! The Maitre d' at Poncio was a good... More

We were out walking and came upon this place. Very glad we did as the tapas we had was wonderful. Everything was beautifully presented & it tasted as good as it looked. Will certainly go back next time I'm in Seville.

Happened upon this by chance. We were staying in the hotel Amadeus nearby and had seen the restaurant while having a drink in the little square (triangle) in front of it in calle Sta. Maria la Blanca. It was not there 3 years ago. We had eaten in the Vineria san Telmo nearby the night before - superb meal as... More
