Busy, freshly cooked but no 'wow' factor

We stumbled upon this place late in the evening and was busy enough to be inviting but very touristy. Food fresh and great for a quick bite - really enjoyed the spinach and chickpea tapas and went down well with the fino. Waiters are very speedy and not especially friendly.

Very sollicitous staff, but the quality of the food was uneven for the price we paid. Our seafood paella was undercooked, with crunchy rice. The pork filet in wiskey sauce was very tasty, but lukewarm. However, the "grand mother's pie" was delicious. I have a feeling the Saturday lunch routine was way too busy for them to live up to... Great food and friendly staff ( great with the kids) they really looked after us ! Good seafood options and lighter tapas including roasted pepper salads to break the carb cycle!

We've just left a table here and couldn't find one redeeming feature of the food. Hake drowning in oil, spinach looked like it had been thrown up, cold chips. The poor waiters were certainly doing their best but this was vile.

I enjoyed my lunches at the Bodega. The place is downtown in the commercial center next to the Plaza Nueva and I always enjoyed stopping there for lunch after a morning walking around town and watch people go by. The food was traditional, tasty and honest and in my experience the service was prompt. The food ranges from tapas to... More

Our 3rd visit to Seville and to Bodega Gongora. A beautiful city and excellent Bodega for those wanting to experience tasty tapas, quality wine and attentive service. Juan Jose, our waiter during this years visits (3 evenings) was a true professional and certainly helped us enjoy our dining experience by providing not only superb service but also the attention to... Very well located. However I find it difficult to offer any other positives. The unsmiling face of a bored waiter who threw the food on the table without a word or attempt at greeting. The food itself was decidedly poor, bread was past its sell by date and the house wine had an unpleasant astringency. Worst dining experience of 16... More

You can get the menu in plenty of languages, however the food has only average quality. The Paella is not a traditional one, king prawns are only small gambas, etc...

Bodega Gongora provides menu in many different languages (Portuguese included for my surprise). The food was fantastic, the service very efficient and kind. The atmosphere is excellent the outside (street) terrace very enjoyable as the weather there is mostly sunny. Certainly a restaurant I would strongly recommend to friends.
