I think some people have missed the 'modus operandi' and/or the 'raison d'etre' of this place. It's self service in as far as you have to find your own table and actually go inside and order, then collect your food. You don't however have to clear away or do the washing up. We quickly found one of the tall tables... More

Tables are spread out on the dimly lit Plaza de la Gavidia. The women still smoke, the mn sip glasses of beer and kids race beneath the orange trees. In the shadows, a solitary man plays a mournful violin as a hot breeze blows through the night. besides him a large poster of a woman in a long red dress, castanets in... More

A genuine local's tapas bar-tables outside are at a premium so move fast when one becomes available !! I have pretty much eaten my way through the menu over the last week and can honestly say that it was all excellent....after a couple of visits the staff were very friendly and I almost felt like a local by the end... Recommended by hotel where we were staying and arrived towards the end of afternoon service (17:00hrs). This may explain why service was a bit abrupt. Tapas was really good and came really quickly including the pungent aioli potatoes the world has yet tasted!

This was recommended by a member of our hotel front desk staff as an authentic tapas restaurant. It opened at 8pm and we got a table outside. You order at the counter and give your table number and they call out the number when your food is ready. We learned at the end of our meal of trial and error... More

Unfortunately, I had the most unpleasant experience at Bodega Dos de Mayo in Sevilla! I went there with my boyfriend at a Thursday night at about 9pm. Although the place was packed there was only one waiter who told us we had to look for a table by ourselves. After we had waited for five minutes, a group of 6... More

As others note this is very popular with locals and, given the vast number of Tapas bars in Seville, that's something to take note of. I was visiting my eldest son, who is living and working in Seville, and this was the one his Spanish friends suggested was the best. There were 5 of us in total and we had... More

This place not only has great food (tough to not eat well in Seville) but it's the whole experience of dining outside with the locals that makes it one of the best dining experiences ever. You order at the bar and they call your name every time a tapa is ready for you. You have to go there several times... More

This tapas bar is very traditional and popular among the locals. It is not much on the décor and we didn't think much of the food that we ordered. It maybe because it is traditional and is not to our taste. We didn't eat everything we ordered, still being hungry we left and went elsewhere. Based on our taste, which... More
