Great food, awesome value

This place was really great. I was there with 2 other friends, and we ordered the croquetas, gambas al ajillo, solomillo, and a few other tapas that I'm forgetting. It's a self-serve restaurant, so you have to place orders at the bar. The staff are very lively and friendly. The place was packed... read more

Stayed in Hotel America and the reception recommended Dos de Mayo for great food and boy did it not disappoint! The place was crowded, but we managed to get seats really quickly! Service was quick too, though we had to pick up our own food as the service staff were busy busy busy! The selection of tapas was by far... More

For sure it's one of the best bodegas in Seville, serving a wide variety of tapas, pratos, and desserts too. You order in the counter, they'll prepare the dish as you go back to your table, and once ready they call you to come pick it up. Nice and friendly service, worked perfectly.

This is a awesome and affordable spot in a different part of town. You must put in your order at the bar and tell them your table number. Everything we had was delicious. They have so many choices and all looked very fresh.

We tried to go for tapas here on a Saturday night and it was so busy we couldn't squeeze in! Tried again Sunday night and got a table. Tapas was great and the wine was good too. Nice atmosphere with a mixture of locals and tourists. Most tapas plates €2.50 - the tortilla with chorizo was delicious! It was so... More

We loved it, it was absolutely buzzing on Saturday night and the food arrived immediately, we were very lucky to find a table and we loved it. I would strongly recommend going there when in Seville

We lived on the Plaza de la Gavidia, where Dos de Mayo is located. We were warmly welcomed, "¡Bienvenidos, vecinos!" our first day. Phenomenal tapas restaurant. Everything is so good, but they specialize in seafood dishes. The BEST seafood brochettes we've ever had (over and over again). Paco is the manager and sets the tone. Friendly, joyous, loud, bustling. You... More

We've been to a couple different tapa bars in the city and this one is truly authentic. Yes, there were some tourists who knew of the place, but we got a recommendation from a local who told us to go for good tapas here. They were correct. Although they typically eat later, this place was already full by 7:30 PM... More

The greatest traditional tapas bar in Seville (from those I managed to visit in my short stay) in terms of variety (fish, ,eat, vegetarian, grilled, plancha…. and the list goes on and on) combined with excellent quality , I just wish I could start from the beginning and try them all until the end. Everything we managed to try was... More

In an attempt to escape the touristy restaurants and bars of central Seville, we were recommended this place. It didn't disappoint. Yes, there are tourists still and you haven't uncovered a secret gem in any way, but opposed to the more centrally located touristtraps, this actually seems like a genuine place, not just created to capitalize on tourism.
