We were coming to the end of two weeks in Spain travelling with two German friends. The restaurant we had originally decided on was closed and on walking back to our hotel we 'stumbled' on Al Aljibe, we went into the inner courtyard and were told we would need to wait for 20-30 minutes before it actually opened, we were... Wonderful tapas - a great variety of flavours and beautifully done. Very good value and friendly service and a good spot to watch the world go by. Definitely recommend this to all.

Delicious tapas: sardines, risotto, and a beef tapa and 4 drinks for 20 Euros. There are lots of hip places to chose from on the Alameda de Hercules Square, so don't fill up. Keep moving around and eating!! The atmosphere at this Particular restaurant would be nicer inside, but we don't speak Spanish so we just took the spot out... More

This restaurant has traditional Spanish food with a modern twist. There is a good selection of reasonably priced tapa and raciones. The food is excellent quality, the wine is good and all reasonably priced. Although we arrived very late in the evening, the waiting staff were attentive and friendly. My partner raved about the marinated sardines. I only wish that... More

Came across this place while strolling around Hercules Square, two very different venues, downstairs and outside great cheap small tapas dishes, great variety, upstairs and out on a lovely terrace they serve larger portions of the same great menu, marinated sardines on toast excellent, as was the chocolate fondant for dessert. A little bit away from the city centre but... More

Situated in the bustling plaza Alameda de Hercules, this is a gem of a place. It was busy first night we went and had to eat indoors. The quality food and service from our friendly Roumanian waiter made up for the lack of atmosphere. Second night we eventually managed to get a front garden table which was great but were... More

Enjoyed the tapas, great price and high standard, but the location is definitely in the boho end of town, and looking at graffiti wasn't the best of views.

Worth a visit to this slightly out of main centre and worth a stroll through the narrow. Food was excellent, good Tapas variety. Service was attentive although it became little slow when it became busy later in the evening with the staff having to apologise. That was the only negative.

It is located a bit off the beaten track in the city but well worth the detour. Be aware that they serve tapas on the ground floor and terrace outside but that larger portions are served upstairs on a lovely romantic terrace. My advice is not to order too much at one time as the portions served upstairs are quite... More
