Best meal in Spain, around the world

My dinner at Vineria San Telmo will be etched in my memory for a long time to come. Spent a great evening in this charming restaurant and it was delicious!!! We started with two of the salads ( the one with marinated tomatoes, rocket salad and burrata, and the one with Roquefort, various kinds of salad, walnuts and pear. Both of them exquisite!). Followed by the Foie Gras and the Beef / Camembert/ chutney combination. The white wine... More

Ok so remember this is a tapas place not a fine dining restaurant, but if tapas are what you're looking for we haven't found anywhere in Andalucia to beat it. We came here at the end of an evening trying different things in different tapas bars (all of which came highly recommended on trip advisor). This one stood out a... More

We had bus problems and needed to kill a few hours. Almost right across the street we found this joint. We let waiter choose the house specialties and enjoyed them all. We also found out you can buy take away wine for much less.

I went here after reading all the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. I started with a bowl of salmorejo, both of which were delicious. Unfortunately the bread I ordered had been slightly toasted - I can only assume because it wasn't fresh...why?! Next up was cod 'rotena' style. A good size and the fish was delicious. This was followed by... More

Tapas was generally okay but nothing to write home about. Roast lamb good but tower of gratinated tomato, goats' cheese, smoked salmon and aubergine lacked synergy. Service functional.

I spotted the name of this place on the map when I was looking for the hotel I'd booked in Seville. When I Googled it, I thought it worth a try....& boy, was it worth it!!! The Argentinian steak & the lamb were to die for!! Tender & tasty, & a complete change from "standard" tapas. Yes, it's a little... More

We had read the reviews about this place and decided to try and find it and book a table. It is a really under stated place so we probably wouldn't have given it a second glance if we had just stumbled across it but we would have missed a real gem if we had. We booked a table for 9.30pm... More

After a week of good but frequently greasy traditional tapas this provided a great alternative. Sitting outside in the January sunshine we worked our way through half a dozen tapas-sized plates washed down by some excellent wines all available by the glass. It was so good we returned the next day to repeat the experience with different dishes topped off... More
