We stayed in Sevilla for three nights and were really lucky that this bar was so close to our hotel. We went in each night and ate and drank stood at the bar. The kitchen is visible behind the bar and the tapas and service was excellent. The guys behind the bar were pure theatre especially when they flicked coins... More

Busy, particularly at weekends and late in the evening. Not dominated by tourists like most places in the barrio . Great atmosphere on Mateus Gago and close to the Giralda. Service usually brusque, if not quite surly and food distinctly basic, but that's not why you would go there.

Loved this place, always hopping with locals and tourists as they tapa around seville, tapas great, service brisk, crowd diverse and ever changing. Great little place give it a try, it is right by the cathedral.

One of the cheapest tapas places near the cathedral - most tapas €2 with the specialities €2.10, tinto de verano (red wine & lemonade - very refreshing) €1.50. We tried 3 tapas (lomo, tuna and tortilla) and they were all delicious! The waiters write your tally in chalk on the bar in front of you and we found them to... More

Amazing spot just up the road from the cathedral. Gets busy at around two, but if you can squeeze up to the bar, this is one of the most fun meals out. The food is tasty and simple, although don't expect fine dining, and the beer is petty decent too. The bar men understood coeliac disease and were able to... More

Average food, high prices, nice but artificial decoration. Vermouth served warm, withour orange, only ice. Waiters indeed typically Spanish - unfriendly, slow, unpolite. Some tables outoors (not beeing cleaned up for hours), but not comfortable. NOT a Tapas-Bar to really recommend (written by a Spaniard making tourism in Andalusia).

This place was jam packed every time we walked by it. There are tables outside but no chairs, so there are just a bunch of people standing around and drinking (awesome) sangria and having a great time. They had a large selection of tapas and friendly bartenders that were so quick. It was a fun time.

Just 20 metres from the Giralda, this is a great, authentic tapas bar. I recommend drinking red wine with cloudy lemonade - vino tinto con limonado - which is cheap and refreshing. Tip the staff and watch them dunk the coins into a basketball net. I can never remember what all the tapas dishes are, and don't bother asking for... More

You can tell an authentic tapas bar when the majority of people are standing at the bar, eating their food and the floor is covered with used napkins (sounds weird but it is a sign that people appreciate the food). Bodega Santa Cruz is exactly that. If you want somewhere to sit down and relax, this is probably not the... More
