The best salmorejo in the world

This restaurant is a long time favourite, but for some reasons I haven't visited it for a while (some 10 years or so....). I can assure that it remains the same, fantastic dishes, very good price and excellent service. Basically, everything I tried here is delicious, but I would especially... read more

Stopped by here for lunch based on TripAdvisor reviews. We definitely did not love the salmorejo - it had an odd mix of flavors that just didn't work, in my opinion. Aside from that, the prices of everything were way higher than they should've been. A plate of jamon was smaller and pricier than everywhere else. The asparagus plate had... More

This restaurant is a long time favourite, but for some reasons I haven't visited it for a while (some 10 years or so....). I can assure that it remains the same, fantastic dishes, very good price and excellent service. Basically, everything I tried here is delicious, but I would especially recommend the salmorejo (sort of a Spanish-style dense tomato soup).

We were recommended this great restaurant for an authentic Sevillian meal. The restaurant is about 10 minutes away from the centre by cab (under 10 euros). Joaquin and his team were very welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed the incredible tasting menu and wine, both very reasonably priced. Lots of Spanish joined us in the restaurant that evening and we... More

Love this place, second time eating here, last three years ago. Chef Joaquin is still at the stove, assisted by friendly helpful waitstaff. No English spoken, and printed menu is just for show as best bet is letting them just keep serving you food until you cry for mercy. Best salmorejo in Spain, unusual and thick with great depth of... After reading the Tripadvisor reports decided to try this restaurant ,for the first night of our stay in Seville.Rang to make a booking and was told they did not open until after 9pm so booked a table for 9-30. We arrived a little early to find the restaurant not yet open so went away had a drink elsewhere and returned... More

At some point in their succesful career La Monteria assumed they have a good reputation (which is true and overly well deserved) and, as a result, they have an irritating habit of taking the customer for granted. How do you notice this? - Some waiters take some liberties with customers, as a matter of fact, they try to actually manage... More

This restaurant is somewhat out of the main Seville tourist paths, and well worth seeking out. Small dining room (we were 12 and had reserved) with no more than 40 places, very hospitable and cozy. Little English spoken, but everyone made an effort and all was well. No menu, just sit, wait a little, and begin enjoying dish after dish... More

Not very central, which makes me think it's a place for locals. It's not exactly on Calle Felipe, but just off this road. Parking was free. In the evening they open at 9. Decor may be in need of an update but food is of very good quality. Impression is that they have been in the business for years. We... More

I found this place through "Tapas-Sevilla" on my iPhone and it was great. Our first impression was not so good because there was not menu card and the waiter just told us what they had for food. BUT once we ordered, everything went very very very well: food, service, drinks. That was probably the best "Salmorejo" in the world!!. I really recommend... More
