Good food, lovely decor, indifferent staff

The food was very well presented and full of flavour although pricey. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation which we didn't so we were sat in the tapas bar. Then a table was found for us but there were actually 2 additional tables free all evening. The were efficient but... read more

Myself and family ate at this restaurant during the "Semana Santa" and were satisfied. We got a menu, all courses were well prepared and nicely presented. Only a little trick with the bread which was given without our request and then add as an extra in the bill, but this looks to be a Spanish "tradition". The wine list is... More

After a long day we wanted to sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal. This was beyond expectation. The 4 course taster menu was a brilliant choice and the food was excellent and presented wonderfully. The service, Duncan, a Scottish gentleman with 15 years in Seville, was friendly, relaxing and informative. A great restaurant

Went to Az-Zait on Wednesday during Easter week - we wandered in that direction to avoid the processional shutdowns and overcrowded restaurants - and had one of the best meals of our lives. We are a family of 4 with 2 children (11 & 15) and ordered the tasting menu for each of us, with a bottle of excellent Rioja... More

As non-Spanish speakers, the welcoming attitude was a good start. The menu was sufficiently interesting. I went for the 'egg soup' with mushrooms and truffles which came with a fine aroma of the latter and was surprisingly light. My wife enjoyed her simpler carpaccio of tuna. She followed this with hake which was beautifully cooked. My suckling pig was also... More

We had lunch at Az-Zait our first afternoon in Seville and were not disappointed. They put a successful spin on traditional Spanish food, using familiar ingredients in new and unusual ways. Our starters included Duck Jamon and Pulpo, both of which were quite good. My entrée of scallops and my husband's Pork Migas were very good. I did not, however,... More

AZ-Zait, meaning (olive oil), was a real find, great food, service and wines. We are used to Michelin stars restaurants and this one, even though it doesn't have one it certainly deserves it. Honest prices too for refined food and generous portions, complimentary amuse bouche and petit four to finish, a definitive 10 out of 10

Az-Zait has also been one of my favourites in Seville, in fact there is no comparison anywhere in the world when it comes to their ajo blanco! Absolutely brilliant! Their more recently introduced tapas bar at the front of house, is good value for money, in my opinion, considering the quality of fair served. The restaurant at the back is... More

I've traveled to a lot of cities and been to many Michelin starred restaurants, but the food in Az-Zait is definitely of the best ones I've ever tried. Since we were in a group of 8, we couldn't ask for the tasting menu (sad for that, but one of the family members don't like to eat very much...) but we... More

Best meal I've had in Spain. Twice! And we're likely to go back before we leave. Make a point of trying it if you're in Seville. The service is wonderful and the food is terrific. Try the soft boiled egg with wild mushrooms and truffles. The hake was spectacular too.
