Had dinner here during a 3-day stay in Seville. The restaurant on the first floor of this renovated old townhouse not far from the Cathedral area consists of small rooms with just a few tables (4 in ours), very elegant. There is an extensive traditional Spanish menu, but we went for the tasting menu at 59 euros. We found the... More

We live in Washington DC and have visited the Taberna del Alabardero at home, so were excited to try the sister restaurant in Sevilla. It was a lovely meal! Our waiter, Jose Luis, was so welcoming and fun to talk with and the food was delicious. It was a very welcome break from tapas! The most welcome difference from the... More

The whole experience was just brilliant. The building and setting were perfect, we ate in the restaurant part, so were upstairs. Went for the 7 course tasting menu, which was pretty cool because you didn't really know what was coming next (so I guess not great for fussy eaters). The service was fab; really attentive, and the wine was amazing!!... More

We happened on this hotel as we were walking Sevilla on our first day. We stopped for a drink in this lovely place and after seeing the menus for both the bistro and the restaurant, we chose the bistro because it was a little more casual. The atmosphere was of another time and lovely. The service was wonderful and the... More

In Spain at this price level you expect suburb food, here you get terrible overcooked food. Worse meal in Spain during entire holliday. We ate paella at the beach for 6,95 euro which was a 1000 times better. Staff is friendly, but please let them there take a good look at them selves, because this is unacceptable.

I made a reservation for this acclaimed restaurant via the site The Fork, which offered a 30% discount on a two course meal. I lunched in the restaurant (there is also a cheaper option downstairs - more brasserie in style) on a Monday. It was a lovely, old fashioned setting with a formal dining room quality. I was actually the... More

The tasting menu with paired wines was served with exemplary attention to detail in this culinary school and restaurant in the beautiful hotel by the same name. The venue is unobtrusive sitting on a street with few other eateries in a residential district. The food however was a stand out. Both the white and red wine offerings were poured genourously... On a visit to Seville we met a local friend for lunch at the Taberna. It's a nice building and the downstairs 'cafeteria' is a reasonable place to eat. The lunch menu at 12 euros is decent value. But the problem is that the food is just not that good. None of the dishes the five of us had was... More

When we sat for lunch with touring friends we had been impressed with the upstairs decor, but found that the traditional provincial menu offerings were not as good as we had experienced elsewhere in Spain, and the wine list was not compelling. Several members of our party preferred not to eat some dishes. Would not return.

We dined here at the "suggestion" of Michelin - it is a red category 4 - really disappointing food - although the service is very nice as is the decor. The food was mediocre at best. We were particularly annoyed that we ordered the traditional menu and got the obviously "inventive" menu = one of my courses was even served... More
