Wonderful dinner

At first we were concerned because they put us upstairs which had a view of the church but unattractive rooflines. We asked to go downstairs which didn't please the waiter. I suspect this place may offer better value at lunchtime. I went for dinner in the evening and asked about vegetarian options. The chef very kindly agreed to cook a wild mushroom rissotto, (which was not on the menu), as my main course. A complementary bowl of melon soup arrived first, followed by my choice of starter - Parrillada of... More

We dined here at the recommendation of our hotel. Our experience was top notch. The gentleman who received us (without a reservation) was lovely. We lucked out and got the only unreserved table on the rooftop for dinner. The setting is beautiful, with a view of the lit up cathedral. The Rioja wine we ordered at the waiter's suggestion was... Admittedly it was a very hot night and the scenery from the rooftop was breathtaking but the food we were served was luke warm when given to us. The restaurant tried twice to serve hot food for the main course but failed. We asked for the bill having only eaten the starter and were pleasantly surprised when no charge was... More

We were a group of 11 for lunch, including serious foodies. The judgment was unanimous: outstanding. Perhaps because we had a connection to a friend in Washington to the manager, Javier Velazquaz who worked there for several years, we felt particularly well served. The second-floor restaurant in this remodeled 19th century palace is divided into small, intimate rooms so that... More

We discovered that Sunday afternoon is a bit of a slow time in Seville, but the students serving lunch are on their game and made this a memorable meal! They are very eager to please and speak excellent English. They let us try a couple of different wines to make sure we got the right one with our meal. The... More

I happened to be in Sevilla on my birthday this year. My friend and I chose to have lunch to celebrate. We used their pre fixed menu of started, entrée, and dessert. When our waiter learned it was my birthday, he brought a piece of chocolate torte with a burning candle in it, singing in Spanish. We ate on the... More

The Taberna is not your typical hotel. It is small, only 10 rooms, with a beautiful Spanish court separating the levels. The furniture is elegant and comfortable, the staff well trained, polite and friendly, the food is exceptionally good. I would return there any day and highly recommend it to travellers who are considering visiting Sevilla. The Taberna is central... More

We arrived for dinner and were well received and shown to our table, which was in a small room with only one other table occupied. This meant that a private conversation was near impossible. The decoration is seriously out of date and needed to be refreshed. Our meal was very satisfactory and was well served. However we had the feeling that... More

Good food and service. You can go for tapas, a restaurant managed by gastronomic students, or the main restaurant. Make your reservations through a portal called tender and you will get 30% discount on your bill.
