A great experience!

I believe it's what you expect when you book a night at la Oliva. The first thing Francisco tells you before this fiasco starts is that he is not a chef but an amateur , unfortunately he went on to prove it . The setting is a not particularly clean olive oil shop with some wooden tables for you to sit at . The Friday evening we went was attended by us 2 and... More

Francisco's tasting menu of local Andalusian food and wine was delightful and delicious. His warm welcome and fantastic food tour was informative, festive and fun! Each course, from olive oils to dessert, was accompanied by an interesting explanation of its source and a historical connection to the region. Franciso's love of Andalusian food and wine warmed our hearts while stimulating... More

Francisco says that he is not a "chef" - but a lover of the local wine and fresh produce of Granada. An evening spent in the intimacy of La Oliva as he talks you through his taster menu of about 15 small courses (many of them cooked in front of you) with different local wines - is great introduction to... A great evening was had with Francisco at his charming establishment. Tasting plates of home style food cooked and served with passion and enthusiasm.. Insightful and fun - my favourite was a pomegranate salad with fish and spring onion - a triumph.. We went here on our first night in Granada - you couldn't have a better entre into Andalucian... We were recommended to visit this place by our Airbnb hosts, and we are so glad we had the opportunity to have a meal here. Francisco is a fantastic host, and the food that he prepared for a total of 5 guests including the 2 of us in his deli was all fantastic. It was a really great chance to... More

Ok we are foodies so the mention of a cooking class from our Abercrombie and Kent guide service piqued our interest. The four of us went to La Oliva and had a delightful evening with Francisco holding court and giving us a fun relaxing delicious instructive night of food. We had great wine along with a full tour of spanish... More

A dinner here is an absolute must!!! With that being said, while you are asked about allergies or dislikes, it is likely best if you are open to trying new foods and drinks. I loved this "food tour". This was the highlight of my 9 day self directed tour of Andalucia. I read about it on TripAdvisor and it lived... More

I went here with my family in October 2014 and we are all still talking about a fantastic evening. The booking system was a little out of the ordinary - emailing and waiting for conformation and wasn't sure what to expect.. The whole experience was amazing, don't leave Granada without eating here, every course is a local seasonal gastronomic experience, with... More

Our friends made a reservation, having been to La Oliva before. We were not disappointed, Francisco is a wonderful host, with extensive knowledge and excellent English. The food and drinks are well chosen, and perfectly served with a smile. Francisco advised us not to eat too much bread, too early on. This was taken on board and we knew why... More
