Amazing dining experience

Just amazing food and wine experience in Granada. One of the best in Spain. Foodie heaven and an owner that is passionate about produce and wine.

We had an amazing dinner at La Oliva. Francisco is not only a great chef, but he explains everything - what we are eating, how it relates to Spain, (i.e. has you try 3 different olive oils and differences...) - 15 courses of bliss and 5 different wines. LOVED the entire evening. We had an intimate group of 12 from... More

Wow! What an awesome concept and way of learning Spanish food and regions. My husband and I were blown away by not only the food but by the thoughtfulness of the entire evening. An experience not to be missed. You must make a reservation in advance. Only 9 people attended our dinner. About 3 hours and 18 small courses. Totally... More

We had an 18 course degustation meal at La Oliva. The food was simple but flavoursome. Francisco is a wonderful host and describes every tasting and wine before serving. There were 12 people there that evening and Francisco asked everyone where they were from and this created a nice atmosphere. The evening lasted 3 hours, but I feel as though... More

We ate on Saturday evening and have no hesitation in agreeing with all the other positive reviews. The food is absolutely excellent. Fresh, local and very carefully produced and introduced by Francisco. We wanted to go because it wasn't a restaurant, and the thought of something a bit different was very inviting. We've been to a number of 'pop up'... More

If you've found this Trip Advisor page, then you're doing something right. Book now if you're in Granada for any length of time. My wife and I were fortunate enough to dine at La Oliva in early April 2015. A friend who had previously visited a few years before said it was a 'must' and he wasn't lying. The tasting... More

Simply put: you absolutely MUST eat here. Francisco made us feel like family the instant we met, and the whole night it felt as if an old friend was cooking dinner for us in his home. And what a dinner - at least 17 courses of incredible food, from olive oils to vegetables and generous serves of fish and meat.... More

Don't expect this to be a restaurant in the conventional sense. We went with family who had been many times before, so we knew what to expect. 14 courses and tutorial by the extremely enthusiastic owner on every course. Really great fun - if you are in any way interested in food, I challenge you not to enjoy it.

We read about La Oliva from Trip Advisor. When we arrived Granada, we asked our hotel to call and they happened to have a cancellation that night so they can fit us in. This is not a typical restaurant. It's a tasting experience of some of the best food and produce from the Andalusia Region that are carefully procured and... More

If you can get a reservation, this is an amazing dining experience not to be missed. My daughter found La Oliva and insisted that we go. She was right! Francisco offers the traveler a unique opportunity to get to know the foods and wines of Andalucia -- preparing and personally serving both traditional dishes and his own creations made of... More
