Francisco is both a perfect host and a great chef. We found out about this place from friends and we were not disappointed. This is as personal a touch as we've had in a restaurant. In fact, it's not a restaurant--it's a food and wine tasting shop. Francisco is very knowledgeable and quite passionate about his craft. Throughout the meal,... More

We went to La Oliva on the 8th of August 2014. It's a truly fantastic experience, a taster menu of olive oils and five wines served with a myriad of different dishes all with a connection to Granada. The evening is hosted by Francisco and his helpers Gloria and Bernardo, I say helpers as this a better description than waiters... More

A really unusual setting, with only a few tables. We were a party of six, including two children. Loved the locally sourced produce and the wines to match the food. It was nice to hear about each dish before it was served. The dessert wine was to die for! Fourteen courses and we ate everything.

I found my way into La Oliva by invitation of a friend who was studying abroad in Granada, and had acquainted Francisco. I was told of the outstanding hospitality and magnificent wine and food pairing that could be found in La Oliva. My expectations were met and exceeded. The minute you walk in the door the sensation of home and... More

On the night of July 23, 2014 I had the ABSOLUTE best authentic Spanish food, wine and olive oil tasting of my life. As previously mentioned, La Oliva is not a restaurant but it is indeed a tasting experience you are sure to not forget. What was even better than the food was the way in which I first met... More

This is definitely not to be missed. Great food, history and friendly service of Francisco and Bernardo. I would recommend it to everybody who come to Granada. But don't forget to book before you come

We loved every second of our dining experience with Francisco. He is such a gracious host and puts a lot of care and love into the dishes he serves. The food and atmosphere is so unpretentious - a very authentic taste of Spanish culture and food. Francisco recently moved the dinners to a quaint and lovely space just outside of... More

This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten while abroad. I lived in Granada for 1 year and ate my way around the city during that time. This was one of the best so if you are in Granada I highly recommend it for an intimate evening. Food with stories and a good tasting of the province.... More

Very, very unsasumming place from the outside, and inside doesn't get much better to be honest. It can hardly be called a restaurant, but the experience is worth the high price for Granada (almost 40 euros per head). I will not spoil the night for you... just go!

TA had the wrong address so it took us a while to get to La Oliva. We greatly enjoyed the experience which we shared with one other couple. The food was excellent but, given the limited kitchen, most courses were high end traditional tapas with excellent local ingredients, not gourmet dining. Good local wines.
