I've never had any food experience like this one. It was simply amazing. A friend told me about this but I would never have believed it. Five tables, ten people and 20 courses led by Francisco a very charming expert who is sincerely trying to kill you with food. Even he didn't know how many course there were. I alone... More

We were recommended this 'restaurant' by friends in Normandy. We now need to find a way to thank them too! I painstakingly wrote down the details of every course, every wine and sherry, every experience. Listing it here would spoil the surprise and fail to do credit to a fabulous evening as there is simply no substitute to going and... More

Taste test of 3 olive oils, followed by 5 wines (cava, dry sherry, white wine (Beva grape), red wine (Tempranillo, cab Sauvignon, Shiraz) & Pedro Ximenez desert sherry) accompanied by 15 different small plates of local food such that we left full and very satisfied.

Every once in a while you have a memorable dining experience and this was definitely one of those times. I heard about La Olivia from a friend who had dined here and highly recommended it to me. Francesco creates the menu each day based on what is available at the local markets. Get ready for a feast for your taste... More

This is probably not somewhere I would go with my Spanish friends as no doubt they raise their eyes at the relatively high price and would be astounded that you are asked to sit down and eat at 7pm. However, being tourists, B and myself had a lovely evening tasting and drinking fine produce from the region. This is not... More

Having read all the reviews, I was very much looking forward to my visit to La Oliva especially as a birthday treat. We searched out the location, earlier in the day to find the place closed, and Francisco just leaving, he advised he was not open until the evening, and we confirmed we had a reservation (essential as numbers are... A visit to La Oliva is a slightly different experience than most other dining experiences and highly recommended. Francesco (owner and host) will greet you in a heartwarming fashion when you arrive, and from then on it is just all smiles, tasty food, great wines and excellent olive oils. Here you get served food with your wine, not the other... More

I came here yesterday night with my gf and it was an amazing experience! 15 courses, 5 different types of wine, fantastic conversation and Franciscos fascinating storytelling make for the most memorable experience! He even made substitute tastings for my girlfriend and I since we don't eat pork. Eating here in a MUST!

We had a Tapas/wine tasting with Francisco that did NOT disappoint. All the food, the wine, his expertise, Bernado and Gloria the sous chefs were amazing!!! Simply done with local ingredients. His food was the best. We were so impressed. Highly recommend La Oliva. Well done and a fabulous experience!!!

We really enjoyed our experience with Francisco! It felt very authentic. There was so much delicious food and wine, that we barely were able to finish up our amazing desert. He was a great host, just like visiting a relative. He called during the day to make sure we are coming. He was concerned that we would not enjoy ourselves... More
