Fantastic location, mixed culinary experience

I would definitely recommend a walk through the cobbled streets up to Abr. Humeya where sweeping views of the Alhambra and city make for the perfect setting. The waitress was nice and the meal started extremely well - a nice melon soup amuse bouche, some of the best mozzarella and black tomatoes we... read more

It's the middle of January - off season - and we literally stumbled upon Aben Humeya while exploring the upper reaches of Ablacin, so we sat down for an early (by Spanish standards) lunch at 1pm. The restaurant was empty, but the warmth of the winter sun drenching the balcony and terrace and the spectacular views of the Alhambra at... More

Angela and her team are excellent hosts. They were all equally accommodating to our requests and made us feel very welcome and cared for. We came 45 minutes before our reservation to enjoy a coffee in the sunshine below. The food is adventurous yet balanced, the tastes are pure and the ingredient combinations are innovative but the dishes still manage... More

It's worth investigating this end of town, with the old narrow streets and interesting shops and cafes. The Aben Humeya is set across the valley from the Alhambra with spectacular views, it is a very peaceful and beautiful place with a gentle unhurried atmosphere and the most delicious food l had in Granada.

We thought we would have a drink and light lunch on the beautiful terrace overlooking the magnificent views. Firstly we were told we couldn't sit on the terrace unless we each chose one dish. Then told we couldn't sit as a three where we were and would have to move, even though there was only one other couple there, because... More

We are in Granada from time to time, had seen Aben Humeya before, but had not had ta chance to have a meal, so this time we made a point of going. We arrived before the restaurant officially opened for dinner, but staff was very friendly and took great care to seat us, and make us comfortable waiting for the... More

By accident we discovered this restaurant and because of the views we decided to make a reservation for the same night. We got a romantic small round table on the uncovered part of the terrace. They open at 20:00 and, if you come in autumn, you should reserve at that time, as the light is very pretty around 20:00. The... More

This is the perfect place to see Alhambra by sunset and enjoy a delicious dinner. Arrive an hour or so before sunset and watch the beautiful view as sunsets and Alhambra is illuminated at night. Staff was very helpful and food was imaginative and delicious.

We ate here last night. A beautiful restaurant and a waitress who couldn't have been more helpful. We had the goats cheese salad which was ok. However our main course of basmati rice with chicken was terrible . Like a risotto in consistency . 2 very small cubes of chicken in it. We decided against dessert. Such a shame. But... More

Having read a few recent negative reviews, we almost passed on this restaurant but already having climbed the steep winding streets to find our original choice closed, we decided to give it a try. We wanted to see the best view possible of Alhambra at sunset and we got it; along with a great bottle of wine, excellent food and... More
